One thing that annoys me about Sera's design is that they added abs to it, which did not exist in the manga, but added no muscle definition anywhere else. She doesn't have to be jacked, but her legs and arms shouldn't look so normal, considering what her job is.

I rag on Aang, but I won't call him a bum father. Air Nomad culture didnt set him up to be prepared for the nuclear family. He's absolutely made mistakes. The biggest is denying Kaya & Bumi access to learning about Air Nomad culture. It was theirs just as much as Tenzin.
Aang already had the Avatar state unlocked. He couldn't control it. The point of unlocking his chakras was so he could have full control. Clearly, not every Avatar needs to unlock their chakras. But you can argue she unlocked some anyway due to her PTSD in season 4
