Unions built the middle class. I’m proud to have always stood with organized labor, including rallying alongside UAW Local 12 to protect Toledo Jeep’s jobs, protecting workers' rights to organize by cosponsoring the PRO Act, and fighting to ensure over 62,000 Ohio pensions through authoring the Butch Lewis Act.
But the fight for fair wages, safer workplaces, health coverage, and a pension to retire with dignity is on the ballot again in November.
Derek Merrin’s anti-labor record is a threat to all hardworking NW Ohioans. Northwest Ohio needs a fighter for workers, not a yes-man for the powerful corporations profiting off their labor.
