If you’ve been waiting for words that feel like a reckoning wrought in savage beauty, this is for you.
The wait is over. The poems are not.

If you've never experienced @akefestival, you'd not know how soul-charging it is. My favorite time of the year, it somehow always appears whenever I need rejuvenation the most. The 2026 edition is especially special for me, as it will mark my first time as a published author!
GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT 📢📢
Abdulkareem Baba-Aminu is a poet, writer, editor, and visual artist. The Africanfuturist poetry collection ‘Kill The Poet, Save The World!’ is his debut as an author. He is also the COO of Spine & Label.

Halfway through 'My Father's Shadow', and I'm loving it on so many levels. The story, the cast, the direction, costume and set design, even the music and sound! All brilliant!
Any "influencer" who preaches hate or riles people up based on hearsay, faulty logic or silly beer parlor gist to divide Nigerians more than we already are, is quite frankly an enemy of our progress as a people. What's the difference between you & the politicians you ❤️ to bash?
Looks like a beautiful time is being had in Lagos without us o 😁 Have a lovely festival y'all. I'm definitely forging my birth cert so I can participate next year! 🤣
Day one of the Lagos International Festival of Illustrations #LIFI2026 was incredibleeeeee 🥁

First of all, leave Chimamanda and her family alone! Una no dey tire to behave like rabid rabbits?
All of you spewing nonsense about why someone should not "de-market" Nigeria after a horrific, *avoidable* tragedy should go down the street. I hear a transformer is sad and needs a hug. Bloody animals in human skin. Because if not, how dare you tell someone how to grieve? Like, you must actually be dense to think of such things, and then proceed to type them out on your bacteria-covered keypad. Since when has grieving become a lack of patriotism? See ehn, let me not mention handles and tag them, or even doxx you m***erf**kers. Because why? Honestly, I'm freakin' mad about all of this. Haba!
This, still.
Like Fela said about "... in human skin".
My prayers are with the bereaved. Always.
