Dr. Wongtangman presented our Suvorexant RCT data #IARS 2026. The orexin receptor antagonist did not improve the primary endpoint wakefulness after sleep onset after cardiac surgery but resulted in deeper sleep - higher doses may be needed to improve sleep in the SICU.

Dr. Maira Rudolph presented high impact work based on GBD data. The major burden of atrial fibrillation will keep increasing during the next years - BUT we can reverse the risk if we mitigate the main risk factors of a-fib obesity, high alcohol use, and high sodium intake. #IARS
