I think my teacher evaluations for the year are done, goes something like this: You pivoted, adapted, you were flexible & persevered, you were resilient, you showed grace, you worked your tail off & you did it! Thank you, thank u! What educators have accomplished is unbelievable!

There will be no high stakes testing this year, and yet all over America educators have continued to teach and inspire their students online. I hope the powers that be realize we do what we do because we love children and not because a test is held over our heads.

This is something I can't stop thinking about. I'm glad districts are stepping up and making sure kids have access. But if we turn around and require all kids to do hours of online worksheets we are failing. There are so many other factors beyond 'accessibility'.
