Reading this we should as well as the Scottish legal system stop dancing around it.
Dorothy Bain sat in the SNP Cabinet as their top legal adviser while simultaneously running the prosecution service that decides who gets charged when the SNP’s own money goes walkabout. That’s not a “perceived conflict of interest.” That’s the definition of one.
The same woman at the table with Sturgeon and Swinney, same woman whose office ends up deciding Sturgeon walks free on the finances probe while her husband cops a guilty plea for nicking four hundred grand.
She “recused” herself from Operation Branchform. Convenient. Then she still finds time to tip off the First Minister about Murrell’s charges months before the public hears a word. She still turns up to nearly half the Cabinet meetings. She still oversees the system that produces conflicting stories from police and prosecutors, refuses to release basic information, and leaves the Information Commissioner saying the whole thing needs proper scrutiny. And when anyone points at the obvious, the defence is always the same: “I acted independently.” Independent of what, exactly? The government that appointed her? The party whose senior figures she was sitting next to while their books were being examined?
This is the chief prosecutor embedded inside the government whose mates and former leaders are under investigation. In any functioning democracy that arrangement would be laughed out of the room. In SNP Scotland it’s protected, defended, and left unchanged even after the Murrell case, the tip offs, the secrecy, and the unanswered questions about hundreds of thousands in ring-fenced referendum cash that somehow never funded a referendum.
It looks like institutional cover. It smells like the establishment looking after its own. And when the decision not to charge Nicola Sturgeon lands with all the transparency of a brick wall, you’re not being a conspiracy theorist for noticing the person ultimately responsible for that system spent years inside the SNP Cabinet.
That’s the dual role. That’s the system they refused to fix. And that’s why the whole thing stinks of something rotten that was never going to be allowed to touch the people at the top.
Decision not to charge Nicola Sturgeon over SNP finances needs to be scrutinised, claims expert.

Margaret Thatcher delivered more usable CalMac ferries in 11 years (1979–1990) than the SNP have managed in nearly 20 years of running Scotland.
Under Maggie the fleet got the Isle of Arran (1984), Hebridean Isles (1985), Loch Riddon, Loch Striven and Loch Linnhe (all 1986), Loch Ranza and Isle of Mull (1987), and Lord of the Isles (1989).
Several of those are still sailing today, decades later, while the SNP’s flagship effort is the Glen Sannox: seven years late, part of a project that has ballooned from £97 million to something approaching half a billion, and after just 22 months in service already spending more than a quarter of its life in dock with hull cracks, vibration problems, and an LNG system that leaked so badly it has been running on ordinary diesel ever since.
Maggie’s old boats are not only more numerous; they have proved more reliable and less polluting than the SNP’s brand-new “eco” showpiece.
The ferry shambles is the perfect metaphor for SNP governance itself: endless announcements, soaring costs, endless delays, and a final product that breaks down almost as soon as it is delivered.
Islanders are left stranded while ministers talk about “journeys” and “strategic” decisions that somehow never result in boats that actually turn up and stay afloat.
Devolution was supposed to deliver competent local control.
Instead we got the world’s most expensive floating symbol of nationalist incompetence.

According to Labour “Employers aren’t working people”
Shocking ignorance. Employers risk their own money, work all hours, sacrifice family time and put everything on the line to create jobs and pay wages.
What exactly does Labour think employers do all day? Sip Bacardis on a beach.
We are doomed, this shows Labour has no idea what it takes to grow an economy or the vital role employers play. That’s why they will keep punishing them.

Benefits spending in Scotland will be over £9bn a year by the end of the decade.
The SNP’s answer?
💸 Not to cut the benefits bill, but the send £ millions to India to help administer their ballooning benefits system.
This is taxpayers money. And they’re sending it abroad to help manage the already too high benefits bill.

Humiliation for @JohnSwinney as his flagship GP walk-in centres open just ONE day a week.
Sold by the First Minister as a way to help fix the crisis in the NHS, the walk-in centres have flopped and been a costly £36m failure for the Scottish Government.
He introduced this policy to great fanfare ahead of the Holyrood Election despite concerns being raised by doctors that it was a waste of time and money.
So far, they have been under-utilised despite costing £36m. In September, the sites delivered an average of 192 consultations per day. By comparison, GP practices across Scotland provide around 136,000 patient contacts on a typical weekday. There is no extra capacity because no extra GPs are being hired.
The SNP Government see this as a crowd pleasing policy and extended the pilot to 40 centres, up from 15, and renewed it until 2029 despite not evaluating how successful it has been. Now, it has been revealed that two of the newest walk-in GP.centres will open for just four hours a week, and one for less than a month.
SNP = Failure.

No, because devolution gives Scots control over domestic public services while WM keeps macroeconomic & natural resource powers. Why?Because the UK operates as a single fiscal union, pooling all national tax revenues to share economic risks and fund public services based on need.
👇 And the shambles in Scotland continues under this @ScotGovFM and shower of SNP incompetents.
On a daily basis, we are subjected to the 💩 show inflicted on Scotland by the parasitic fraudster @JohnSwinney and 20yrs of SNP.
WHEN will Scotland wake up?!

This odious arsehole has spent decades on the public purse and has been at the heart of the SNP throughout every scandal, controversy and malfeasance and now has the audacity to posture as an innocent bystander.
He doesn’t speak for Scotland. He speaks ONLY for the SNP and its insular loyalists. The views of the majority of Scots appear to be an inconvenience to him.
Independence remains his overriding obsession, regardless of the economic damage, social consequences or democratic divisions it creates.
Make no mistake - this isn’t about better governance. It’s about political grievance, he’s manufacturing friction with the rest of the UK and weakening the Union while pretending to defend devolution.
Swinney isn’t a statesman trying to make Scotland work, he’s a lifelong political agitator whose overriding ambition has been to prise Scotland away from the UK.
Scotland deserves a real First Minister, not a constitutional campaigner permanently masquerading as one.
👇👏👏👏 Both @theSNP and @UKLabour are culpable. The usual left wing insanity - tax, tax, tax, spend, spend, spend (on all the wrong things).
I’ve been out and about speaking to many local businesses owners in my own community of North East Fife over the past few weeks. And sadly, it’s the same grim story over and over again. So many local independent businesses are hanging on financially. Energy costs. Higher minimum wage and national insurance costs. Inheritance tax on family businesses. Extortionate business rates. Consumer spend has lessened due to household cost of living pressures. Transportation costs due to fuel price rises. All of this has created a perfect storm that is battering local businesses.
These are not isolated problems. They compound. A pub or café that can no longer afford the same hours. A shop that delays hiring. A workshop that quietly stops taking on apprentices. One by one, the places that give a town and village its character and its jobs become thinner, more fragile and poorer. It drains community spirit and civic pride.
Independent local businesses are not a lifestyle choice or a nostalgia project. They are how money circulates locally, how young people learn trades and how high streets and rural communities stay alive. When they fail, the loss is not just economic. It is social and often irreversible.
The people running these businesses are not asking for special treatment. They are asking for the cumulative weight of costs not to make survival the permanent business model. Right now, too many are hanging on by a thread rather than growing a business. That is not a sustainable foundation for any community or indeed, the wider economy.
And we have individuals in government who don’t have a clue about how to run a business. Nor do they particularly care. Many of them are just career politicians who get paid by the taxpayer to wilfully punish our local businesses communities. Government inflicted austerity against local businesses is the diametric opposite of a growth strategy. It’s an economic wrecking ball strategy. These highfalutin politicians are totally out of touch with the real concerns and financial pressures facing millions households and thousands of small businesses across Britain. It’s absolutely shameful.

Cowardly John Swinney.
Too scared to say yes or no on Rosebank. That's not a leader, that's just a convictionless coward demeaning the office of First Minister and insulting SNP voters in Aberdeen and the North East.
He's more worried about not upsetting his Green compost division than the jobs and workers up there.
No leadership, no purpose, no vision. A pathetic little man.
Watch how fast he flips once it goes ahead. Any Aberdonians still voting SNP need sectioned.

This is incredible. A Labour member of the Scottish Parliament speak out about pubs and alcohol. But his English language ability is questionable to say the least and give that he represents an Edinburgh constituency that is 80% white Scottish I’d guess his views on pubs and drinking probably don’t respect those of the vast majority of his constituents…..but isn’t that his job, to represent ALL his constitutes and not only his own smaller subset.
And that perfectly illustrates a MASSIVE problem creeping through our entire political sphere at national and local level. More and more people like homage being elected due to a mix of bloc voting and stupidity from leftys. But once elected they immediately prioritise issues important to them and their community and not to the country or its people. Unless it’s stopped it will finish us.
