Gutted and angry are just a few words that spring to mind! Players and staff deserve so much better. Had some of the best playing years of my career at this club, I just cannot believe it ends this way!! 😔
We understand Reading have requested to withdraw from the Women's Championship. It'll take time for that to be formally ratified, so don't expect imminent 'announcements', but staff, players and fans are all devastated. This story will be updated shortly.

This is devastating for all involved. I spent some of my best years at this club, both as a player and the girls RTC coach.. it’s shocking that it’s come to this.. I feel for all the players and staff affected by this decision.

I actually don’t know what to say anymore. We can all fight from the outside but unfortunately there has to be people higher up in the club that want to fight too!How one person can destroy a club layer by layer is mind blowing!I feel so sorry for everyone!17 years down the drain!

In the face of everything the fact that @ReadingFC and @ReadingFCWomen both avoided relegation this season is nothing short of spectacular. And the performances at academy level defy belief. There is lots to build on, so long as someone gets out of the way…
YES!!!Im so incredibly proud of this group, it’s been tough watching from afar. For everything they have been through &to see them stay in women’s championship is a huge achievement!Let’s hope they get more support next season!THEY DESERVE MORE!! 💙
