Finally I can talk about Shu Shu, who recently turned 5.6 years old. She’s not an LLM launch, but she is prone to hallucinations and misaligned behavior, in particular about mice and food

One huge benefit (but also footgun) of remote MCP servers vs. CLIs is "versioning".
Providers can make breaking changes to both the toolset and implementation (e.g. tweak descriptions or resource names) without shipping new binaries. Experimenting/iterating is easier.
OTOH it's a security nightmare in some ways that both the tools and how they work can vary, & are auth-specific.
Plus MCP clients/AI tools and their users hate breaking change (for good reason), and there is a server version param that's used for ??? these days so it's not all smooth sailing
