This is awesome!
44 years ago I was so happy Dad bought us seats to the Brewers World Series. I was delighted to return the favor. #WinOurWay
Rain is back in the Las Vegas Valley, this time it's northern neighborhoods. Tule Springs (video shot by Kristel Van Assche) and Aliante are the proud recipients of up to .10" of free water.
Always look up! Of course, it helps if you have a telescope. Les Atterbury, our resident North Las Vegas astronomer captured The Triangulum Galaxy (M33). It's about 3 million light years away, and when it comes to our "local galaxies," it's the 3rd largest behind the Milky Way and Andromeda. This was taken with his Apertura 75Q using the Antlia triband RGB ultrafilter.
Not your average bottle of dirt! I gathered that from the mound of Cashman Field after the final baseball game there, a 4-3 victory over Sacramento on Sept. 3, 2018, featuring a walk-off 2 run homer from Pete Alonso. Cashman Field saw it’s last event this month. It is set to be torn down to make way for townhomes and residential units.
So many pots of gold! Can't get enough of yesterday's rainbow(s)? Great captures from D.W. Gragg (from the air), Linda Crawford with the Parhump double, and Ernie Gonzales.
Storm chasing delivered one heckuva sunset scene! Amelia Hollis photo captured while traversing Jean and Goodsprings.
Split the uprights! Thursday afternoon's rainbow just added to the colors provided by the House Finch on the left and Lesser Goldfinch on the right. Nothing like a bird's eye view! Junior Mann photo.
Rainbows and 737's! Extra bonus today at Harry Reid Intergalactic with your window seat. John Robinson with that capture. Excellent rainbow photos also from Kelly Green, Joyce Benson and Renee Mitchell.
It's been a couple of days since we last checked in, but yes, Mama bobcat on Las Vegas' far west side, appears to be Queen of the neighborhood! Kimbely Messing video.
A few, lucky neighborhoods, have received a modest drink of water (so far) this afternoon. Tabitha Kast video from Henderson.
Excellent bolt! Wednesday evening had a lot of action in NE Clark County. Teresa Miller captured the electrifying moment in Mesquite.
T-storms are lighting up the sky in NE Clark County. Storms are moving toward the NE. Bolt captured by Maribeth Jalepes in Overton.
