Agreed, but its easier to copy than to truly innovate. Competition will slowly catch up, but it'll take years, and in that time who knows what SpaceX will even look like. They're in a good spot.
Can't wait to go into work tomorrow and correct anyone who says "AI".
Let the era of Super Intelligence begin.

Trump would veto, but this is absolutely a concern come 2028. Let's hope Tesla can get it all wrapped up prior to this.

Modern leftist doctrine creates a racist double standard disqualifying only White people from racial preferences.

I semi-agree. They should be held liable for their actions when they are testing our their new models. They also need to implement KYC (Know Your Customer), so those who use AI for malevolent purposes can be held liable. So everyone should be held liable.
I compare it to gun manufacturers. I don't think a gun manufacturer should be held liable for misuse by bad actors. But they need to implement reasonable protections. Now if they (AI companies) create an application that intentionally or knowingly pushes harmful action (like encouraging suicide for example), then they should be held liable. Its a tricky situation.
You notice how Anthropic and OpenAI are warning how evil and wicked their products are?
If they honestly believed their products are so dangerous they would have a moral imperitive to stop. They should let the responsible companies develop AI.
But that's right...all of these messages are more than a warning to the public.
They're trying to scare you. Just like they scared us after 9/11 in order to pass the Patriot Act.
Anthropic and OpenAI want you scared. They want you to beg the politicians and government to protect them. So then the government can obtain control over this commercially developed product they failed to make on their own.
This gives Anthropic and OpenAi regulatory capture, and a duopoly. They will be the only two companies who can sell you AI. No more open-source, no more smaller AI companies that can compete and catch up to the frontier models.
Do not let fear get the best of your emotions and logic, if so, you will lose your freedom of access to cheap affordable AI.

Stopping in the middle of a highway is a guaranteed way to get hit by a distracted driver. Use whatever momentum you have and get off the road for your safety and others.
And if you cant get your car off the highway, then get out of your car and stand on the shoulder.

Ugh... that damn trillionaire is back at it. Elon Musk clearly hates humanity. What an evil man. Sigh...
Through the VOICE trial, Terry is using his Neuralink implant to help fine-tune a brain-to-voice interface for himself and others who can’t speak. He trained the algorithm first by miming speech as best he could, then by simply thinking the words and hearing them come out in his own natural voice.

Thats the counter argument. My personal belief is that we should happily allow allies and other nations to buy US munitions and weapon systems....but they should pay for it themselves.
