Running separate seeds doesn’t have to mean juggling wallet extensions
with Keycard Shell and @ambire , you can keep accounts from different seeds in one extension and switch between them as needed
each seed stays on its own Keycard
here’s how:
• insert your first card and enter its PIN
• select Connect Software Wallet → Ethereum
• scan the QR in Ambire, select an account and name it
• repeat with your next card
choose the account in Ambire, insert the corresponding card into Shell when you need to sign
separate seeds, without a separate workflow for each👇

ambire + keycard are a great combo
Transparency beats trust. So we made Shell hardware easy to verify.
Here are videos and pictures to help you check the integrity of your Shell:

that's the beauty of open source development
Work that came from this prototype was merged upstream to @Keycard_ !!!🥳 github.com/keycard-tech/keyc…

Keycard Shell 1.4.0 firmware: reproducible ✅
We rebuilt it from source. The firmware matches apart from its signature, and this release's newly published bootloader matches byte for byte once its key field is copied in.

Keycard is a huge underdog!
- Overall works great, very easy, simple, self-explanatory
- Solid build quality
- Interchangeable secure elements (cards)
- Super open wrt software and hardware & schematics even..
- Cheap!
Recommended!

if there’s an extra component inside your hardware wallet, what reference do you have to spot it?
with Keycard Shell, you have a published reference for what should be inside
Firmware. Circuit schematics. PCB layouts. Component lists. Case designs.
here’s the hardware behind it:
• main board with STM32H573 (ARM Cortex-M33) microcontroller (PSA Level 3 / SESIP3 certified)
• 240×320 TFT IPS color LCD screen
• heavy-duty silicone keypad (numeric + OK/C)
• ISO 7816 smartcard reader module (contact only)
• CMOS global-shutter camera for QR codes
• replaceable Nokia BL-4C 800 mAh battery
• clear ABS case, with public 3D design files so you can print your own
the clear case lets you see parts of the board without taking the device apart
the back cover slides off without tools to access and replace the battery

and where are your private keys?
on the separate Keycard, inside its NXP JCOP4 P71 JavaCard secure element, certified to EAL6+.
and the best part is Shell does not store them!
the design is open for closer inspection, too. Our MIT-licensed repository includes:
• schematics in PDF and editable formats.
• PCB layouts and Gerber files.
• bill of materials.
• mechanical 3D STEP files for the case.
• certification documents.
• firmware source and build instructions.
you don’t have to wait for someone else’s teardown to learn how Shell is built. You can examine the files, inspect the device and even build your own.

Another key benefit of @Keycard_ it’s a clear case. So easy to double check the insides
