While the intention of preventing youth initiation of adult products is honorable, is there an ethical issue if the messaging isn't accurate? @DKWright7News @WTRF7News
In society’s efforts to prevent youth vaping, what is and is not OK to tell kids to get them to do what we want them to do? An article I read today about an upcoming event got me wondering about this. It’s timely; it involves the Great Pumpkin. skipscorner.substack.com/p/w…

We've waited months for the account of @Algore09algor to be reinstated. What is taking so long @X @Support @premium?
Concerning to see a prolific and well argued harm reduction advocate, including for #vaping, suspended on @X 😟 @Support please review the suspension of @Algore09algor and have it reinstated.

I never imagined submitting one last piece to Will. It didn’t cross my mind that the day would come when I would say goodbye to Filter. I stayed in denial for weeks before finally sitting down to write this skipscorner.substack.com/p/t… The Safe Place in My Inbox: A Farewell to Filter

Terrible news
We are very sorry to announce that Filter is shutting down this week, after eight years of publishing. It's a sad moment for those of us who have cared about the publication, writes EIC @godfreywill. But we have so much to be grateful for: filtermag.org/a-statement-ab…

Vape and pouch tax vetoed in Alaska.
BREAKING: @GovDunleavy vetoed 9 of the 24 bills that were due back today. He let HB 28, the major education funding bill, go into law without signature. #akleg

An example of the dedicated vape shop ownership here (US based, but similar story in the UK). Rupert you really *Must* be able to distinguish the difference between dedicated sole shops and 'convenience' stores teapaw.org/KimMurrayTPA/status/15…

Alaska just passed a 75% tax on nicotine pouches and vaping devices, making nicotine alternatives more expensive than cigarettes in a state where smoking rates are already 57% above the national average. This tax does nothing to help smokers switch to less harmful alternatives. It just makes those alternatives unaffordable. The FDA has authorized vaping and nicotine pouches as better for public health than cigarettes. So why is Alaska taxing them the same? The Consumer Choice Center is calling on Gov. Dunleavy to veto this tax. Our Head of External Affairs Elizabeth Hayes breaks down exactly why. Take a look: consumerchoicecenter.org/ala…
