"Forever Canadian" is flirting with creating a new provincial party in a survey sent out to those who signed up to support the movement during the referendum. It's created a flashpoint in Alberta politics, with many supporters surprised at this possible direction. What do you think?

Also known as Saskatchewan Time.
No more changing the clocks! Starting this weekend, Alberta is moving to permanent daylight time — which means no more springing forward or falling back. More daylight in the evening, no more twice-a-year clock changes, and one less thing to remember. Welcome to Alberta Time! buff.ly/PZCKRpD

This is why we have independent boundaries commissions. So no "side" draws the map. Why did Smith tear up the one they drew?
Replying to @DrJaredWesley
When my side redraws the map it isn't controversial. When the people I don't vote for redraws the map, me and all my similar minded folks call it controversial.

Far right populists in Alberta have given up on winning elections. If they can't compete, they have decided to cheat. They are gerrymandering maps and trying to break up the federation instead of doing the hard work of building broad and durable coalitions. Lazy losers.

Elections Alberta is right to raise the alarm over rushing to adopt a new electoral map. It's simply not feasible to bring one in less than a year before an election. theglobeandmail.com/gift/70a…

Capitalism wants you to wait for decades on a thin promise that capitalism will somehow solve the problem that capitalism wilfully created and capitalism wilfully maintains. The market will not solve the problem, the market IS the problem.

New maps are not always controversial. Mostly, they're boring. I know because I chaired a commission. The new map was drawn because the government tore up the one that was drawn by a bipartisan committee chaired by a judge and put to the public through formal consultation.
I haven’t seen the new proposed Alberta riding map yet. New maps are always controversial with someone. The new map was drawn up by a bipartisan committee chaired by a retired judge, and it can be appealed to the courts if someone thinks it’s not fair.

Guys, the police dont fight crime. They manage and facilitate it. If they did their job, they'd be obsolete, but that would threaten their funding.

The Liberal government claims it wants to build Canada strong. You can't do that by attacking the workers who build it each and every day. Bill C-39 is the Carney plan to build baby build: but who is it really written for? The working class of this country? Or the investor class eyeing mega profits from our airports, public assets and natural resources? I think the Carney government has shown us whose interests rule in today's Canada.
NEW: Today, the Liberals voted down MP @LeahGazan's bill to end government strikebreaking and protect the constitutional right to strike. The NDP stands with workers; they chose to stand with the billionaires and corporate interests that are fuelling the crises that working people face every day. But the fight isn’t over. The Liberals and Conservatives are teaming up to expand this undemocratic power and make life harder for workers with Bill C-39. The NDP and workers coast to coast to coast will be fighting back every step of the way.

Good to see the @globeandmail holding Prime Minister @MarkJCarney accountable for his big bullshit and smoke and mirrors. What we see (Surprise! Surprise!) is that Carney is really, really good at screwing people like students, immigrants, and workers, and really bad at delivering anything that helps people or protects the environment. Good to see Canada's journalists exposing Carney. If Canadians stay suckered by this guy, it's on them, not the fourth estate which is doing its job. theglobeandmail.com/business…

Elections Alberta says revert to the 2019 maps or delay the election. They also say the advisory panel, set to release recommendations next week, is divided, and will produce a minority report. They expect everything to end up in court. #abpoli

Sam Altman is laying the ground work to take away everyone’s computers so he can use the RAM to build more data centers. Someday soon folks are going to wish they had listened to the socialists instead of these psychotic tech billionaires.
