𧾠On this day⌠sitting in a waiting room unable to help my sonâŚ..
I decided to question everything I âknewâ about baseball
This day Changed my life
And as it turns out- 10 years later- it changed the course of baseball AND softball in Western PA - forever
We interrupt the World Series to bring you Charlotteâs first attempt at her speech for Monday morning
I think she nailed it đ đ đ đ˘
So we were able to get this one to move a bit better âŚ. and she did great!!!!
Before & After the âbehind the scenesâ posted earlier
Itâs alot of fun being able to help these young kids feel better when they throw
âPick it upâ is a moniker I came home with from Ball State
Proud of my boy living those words every day
That program is making moves everyday for those girls and itâs inspiring
Huge thank you to @BallStateBB @CoachMaloney and @AlexMaloney62 for Olâ Bubba. With an assist from the boys with RL Turner construction and some rehab time and effort, @BallStateSB has a new piece of equipment #everythingmatters #fitfo
Let them find their way
Interject only when you must
Behind the scenes today with a âyounginâ about half way through her session. Stuck on a Gallo Flow concept.
So we âworked the sticking pointâ
Batting averages are down because pitchers are better.
But
Also
These dudes fly in the outfield and defense is unbelievable all
Over the field
Yikes
Roll Vikes đŞ
Central Catholic defense with the sack of the Canon-Mac quarterback in the 2nd quarter. Central Catholic up 42-0 at halftime. #SportsRoundup @SierraExperts @NationalArmory #DeejaysBBQ
𧾠I decided to answer this question / give my opinion
The reality of what it takes to play at that level hits and not everyone wants to do what it takes.
Many players that are good between eight and 12 are largely good because
1/ they physically mature early
And / Or
3/ show up. The kids with much better genetics for the sport find themselves at this time - much like a baby deer learning to walk âŚ..and they pull away. Many kids who have to work for the things that come naturally to others decide thereâs other things theyâd
We are ready for this campaign @sharski22

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just âdone a dealâ with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

If you wanna go far- go together
WPIAL Men:
7:30 tonight we lay out our plan that begins Nov 1
You all stand on the shoulders of Giants that came before you âŚ.to do things- nobody else was doingâŚ.. at a time- when no one else was willing to do anything new.
You donât have to be renegades and Mavericks anymore. As what we brought to Western Pennsylvania has now become the standard & been replicated many times over.
But one thing that cannot be replicated is what you see in this video.
Itâs never been about individual programming.
Itâs never been about what youâre using or where you are.
Itâs always been about who youâre with.
Itâs always been the culture.
Weâre excited to share with you how the next five months of your life are gonna go. After watching this video, this will bring back memories for a lot of our guys who lived through this time and blaze the trail for baseball development that has become a standard.
The most important thing you have or ever will learn here doesnât come from Coach Matt or anyone else with a title. It comes from the boys who came before you âŚwho spoke to you, helped you âŚand by their example showed you whatâs expected of yourself and for those around you.
Thatâs the secret
Thatâs what has never been replicated.
I saw it first hand growing up and I despise gambling.
Glad to see Bob take a stand
Bob Costas was 18 when his father dropped dead at JFK airport. At the wake, a man handed him a thick envelope with $6,000 in $100 bills. It was everything his father left behind, and a bookie would never have paid it to a dead man.
In the video below, he tells the story himself.
His father, John, was a big-time gambler. Not casinos, not racetracks. Ball games. Bob says the mortgage was literally riding on his bets.
When the games went the wrong way, he threw things, cursed and yelled. Bobâs mom and sister would leave. Bob stayed, because watching the games with his dad was the only way to be close to him.
Friday, May 15, 1970. A cop knocks on the door. Before he says a word, Bobâs mother asks, âMy husbandâs dead, isnât he?â John Costas had a heart attack walking through JFK. He was 42.
At the wake, one of his gambling buddies walked in with the envelope. âYour father was up when he died. Give this to your mother.â A bookie never pays a dead man, so the friend went to the bookie himself and said John sent him to collect.
Decades later, Bob Costas refused to read sports betting ads on air. Today the bookie lives in everyoneâs phone. Is that progress?
Every off season I write programming locking myself in a room for 12 hoursâŚ. and I always go back to basics⌠tonight flipping through HTKC for the millionth time and I never noticed this is Ben đ @TreadAthletics
