As a member of the House of Delegates I've worked to support all of our first responders, especially related to cancer prevention and screening.
Recently I participated in a "firefighter 101" training and wow, the work they do is stressful and requires intense training. Thanks to all first responders for their sacrifice and service.
Many of you know that for years I've worked to hold a local medical waste incinerator accountable for their major environmental violations. I'm very pleased to report that the facility is shutting down their incineration operation and will operate simply as a transfer station. This follows legal action by the state, thanks to MDE and the OAG for all of their efforts on this.
This time of year always reminds me of this. Who else? I can remember the saying smelled there and the sweet lady who owned it.
Tonight Delegate LaToya Marie Caldwell-Nkongolo and I volunteered at Lake Shore Athletic Association Girls Softball to support their annual haunted trail fundraiser.
