THE CHRISTA PIKE CASE: The Other People Involved in Colleen Slemmer’s Murder
Christa Pike was not alone when Colleen Slemmer was killed. Two other Job Corps students, Tadaryl Shipp and Shadolla Peterson, were also there that night, and their roles and sentences were very different.
Tadaryl Shipp was Pike’s boyfriend and was 17 years old at the time. According to the Tennessee courts, Shipp participated in the attack on Colleen, gagged her, prevented her from escaping twice and inflicted some of the cuts and wounds. The attack lasted approximately 30 to 45 minutes and involved Colleen being cut with a box cutter and miniature meat cleaver and struck in the head with a rock or piece of asphalt. Shipp was later convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. He received a life sentence for the murder and a 25-year sentence for conspiracy.
Shadolla Peterson was the other person with Pike, Shipp and Colleen that night. Peterson pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact and received a six-year probationary sentence. The court record says Peterson was present during the killing, but the evidence concerning exactly what she did during the assault was different from the evidence used against Pike and Shipp. Peterson’s attorney maintained that she admitted being present but did not know Colleen was going to be killed and denied participating in the attack.
Colleen’s body was discovered the following morning, January 13, 1995, by two University of Tennessee physical-plant employees in an isolated area of the university’s agricultural campus. The extent of her injuries was so severe that one of the employees initially believed he had found an animal rather than a person.
Pike had already returned to the Job Corps center the night before without Colleen and later told another student that she had killed her. Pike also showed the student a piece of Colleen’s skull that she said she had kept as a souvenir.
There were also other Job Corps students who became witnesses in the case. Kim Iloilo was the person Pike spoke to before the murder, telling her the day before that she intended to kill Colleen. Pike later returned to Iloilo’s room after the killing and described what had happened.
The timeline is disturbing: Colleen was killed on January 12, her body was discovered the morning of January 13, and Pike confessed to police on January 14.
So when we talk about the Christa Pike case, there are actually several people whose stories are part of the case file: Colleen Slemmer, the 19-year-old victim; Christa Pike, who was sentenced to death; Tadaryl Shipp, who was convicted and sentenced to life; Shadolla Peterson, who pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact and received probation; and the Job Corps students whose testimony helped investigators and prosecutors piece together what happened that night.

He wrote letters to his father pleading for help because he was being tortured because he was White.
His name was Gary "Bubba" Blair, he was 43.
He was the caregiver for his own elderly father. He had two nephews he adored and a dog named Scrubby.
So why was he in jail?
In February, Bubba showed up at his sister's house wearing a sheriff's office golf shirt, a security badge, handcuffs, and pepper spray. Deputies arrested him for impersonating a police officer.
A judge found he wasn't mentally competent to stand trial and ORDERED the state to place him into treatment on June 3.
The South Carolina Office of Mental Health never followed through.
Bubba sat in that jail for 181 days waiting for a spot.
He passed away 51 days after a judge ordered them to get him help.
In April, he write a letter to his father:
"I've lost about 90 pounds so far. I'm starving to death in here; only two meals a day, that's it... you starve, and I also have to drink from my toilet and no mattress to sleep on, only a hard ground."
"I’ve been abused by staff and assaulted by everyone on the unit; I had to go 28 days without a shower... no help for a white man"
"The staff is very nasty to white inmates thanks to Troy Ellerbe and James Dixon."
Then in May, Bubba did something that will haunt me.
He wrote a letter to a CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE begging for help.
The letter had a bad address. It was returned. It never arrived.
Meanwhile, sources say the water to his sink was SHUT OFF. His cell floor and walls were covered in feces INCHES DEEP. He was alone. Never let out.
Other inmates, who got a few hours out of their cells, told the news they watched Bubba drink toilet water.
So they took an empty potato chip bag and filled it with water and pushed it through the food slot in his door!!!!!
Most of it spilled before it ever reached him.
On July 24th, jailers found him dead on the floor.
49 days later, the autopsy came back.
Cause of death: profound dehydration due to DEPRIVATION OF WATER.
Manner of death: HOMICIDE.
The report also found bed sores on his HEELS, consistent with a man lying on a concrete floor for days at a time.
Acute bronchial pneumonia.
Profound weight loss.
Physical evidence that he had been INGESTING TOILET WATER.
He had lost so much weigh and was in such poor condition, his sister and aunt went to the funeral home to see him... they did not recognize his body.
The sheriff fired the Black jail administrator 5 days after Bubba died, and refuses to say why.
Bubba Blair sang to old folks in nursing homes. He took care of his daddy.
He deserved so much better than dying of thirst on a concrete floor.

In the early morning hours of September 12th, a horrific anti-White attack took place in York, Pennsylvania, near York College. What some media outlets have mislabeled as a “brawl” or “fight” was in fact an attempted lynch mob that left multiple female White college students brutalized, all captured on a disturbing video. An enormous group of people, predominantly Black, conducted a ‘Takeover:’ a blocking off of the street to obstruct normal traffic, mass loud and disorderly conduct, including drag racing down a residential street, and trespassing onto private property.
The violence began after a small group of White college students asked members of the crowd to leave their private property. What followed was a vicious attack in which multiple young women were dragged from the porch and assaulted on the lawn and in the street. One victim described being pulled by her hair and kicked by multiple people at once. Thankfully, the victims were able to survive this brutal anti-White attack. The father of one of the victims has stated that the violence was not limited to just that household and that other people on the street were also affected - although video of these incidents has not yet surfaced.
This incident raises serious questions about public safety and emergency response. Students say that they had called 911 multiple times prior to the brutal assault, but York City Police has claimed limited resources did not allow them to respond in a timely manner. A delayed response in a situation involving a large, disorderly gathering, one that resulted in multiple racially motivated hate crimes to occur, is unacceptable and warrants a full review of dispatch, staffing, and neighborhood coverage.
Jackson Street, where the incident took place, is home to many students of the nearby York College, and is considered to be “off-campus housing.” Residents have reported that large, disorderly gatherings of this kind have become common and that problems arising around them, like an assault just two weeks prior to this one, are insufficiently addressed. Students and families are entitled to expect that private property and personal safety will be protected, that emergency calls will receive a timely response, and that those responsible for violent crimes will be identified and charged.
We call on the York City Police Department, the York County District Attorney’s Office, and the York College of Pennsylvania to:
Complete a thorough and transparent investigation, including review of all available video, 911 call recordings, and witness statements.
Identify and charge every individual who participated in the brutal assaults, trespassing, and related offenses, and to examine whether the attack was motivated in whole or in part by racial animus and therefore eligible for treatment as a bias-motivated crime under applicable law.
Review why repeated pre-assault calls did not produce an earlier police presence and establish a public-safety plan against any future large gatherings that obstruct the street, trespass on private property, or place students and other residents at risk.
We will be following up on this incident and encourage members of the public with further details as to the racial nature of the incident to come to us. White Inmate Starved, Dehydrated to Death Under Black Jail Director
I know this one sounds bad already, but believe me, it gets much, much worse.
Gary Blair, a 43-year-old White man, died on July 24, 2026 at the Chesterfield County Detention Center in South Carolina.
He was murdered. Not by other prisoners, but by the facility's anti-White administration, led by Black jail director Troy Ellerbe.
Gary Blair was placed in the jail's lockdown unit and held in a cell with inches-deep feces on the floor. He was provided no mattress or blankets. Water to the cell's sink was cut off. Neighboring inmates would pass him small amounts of water when they could. He was not allowed out of his cell.
While he was still alive, Gary wrote letters to his family complaining about the deplorable conditions he faced. He detailed the lack of food and water. No showers. Forced to drink soiled toilet water. He described staff as “very nasty to White inmates.” He pinpointed aforementioned Black jail director Troy Ellerbe, and said former Sheriff James Dixon (Chesterfield County's first Black sheriff) brought about the anti-White culture that still ran rampant in the jail.
“No help for a White man,” wrote Gary. “Luckily, there's one White chick left,” he said, referring to a female guard who worked evening shifts. “She finally made sure I got a shower after fourteen days.”
Family said that Gary had been denied contact with them - no calls, no visits - for months prior to his death. He entered the jail at 300 pounds. 152 days later, he was found dead, naked on the feces-covered floor of his cell, starved and dehydrated, weighing 185 pounds.
Gary's death was determined to be “homicide caused by profound dehydration due to deprivation of water.”
At this point, you might be wondering just what type of horrible criminal Gary Blair was.
Well, he wasn't.
Gary Blair was being held as a PRE-TRIAL DETAINEE on a MISDEMEANOR charge.
Gary wasn't even supposed to be at the Chesterfield County Detention Center, but at a mental health restoration facility. He was arrested for “impersonating an officer” during a “mental health episode” after a medication change.
He didn't actually DO much of anything, insofar as “impersonating an officer.” He dressed up in a police outfit and waved at a deputy who was passing by. That deputy arrested him. Gary had been given the “Sheriff” shirt as a gift from the sheriff he campaigned for back in 2011.
By all accounts, Gary - known as “Bubba” - was an affable, non-threatening guy who had long suffered from his mental health issues.
Gary appears to have no prior criminal history. Despite this, and despite the penalty for this misdemeanor being “a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment of not more than one year,” Gary was inexplicably given a $35,000 bond - exorbitantly higher than comparable cases.
The bond wouldn't ultimately matter, though. Once Gary was declared incompetent, he couldn't be released. But that's when he was supposed to enter a mental health facility - not be held and tortured indefinitely at the anti-White county jail.
But that never happened. Gary Blair did remain indefinitely at the anti-White county jail. And that's where he was isolated, starved, dehydrated, and tortured to death over the course of 152 days.
The Black jail director who oversaw those circumstances, Troy Ellerbe, has been fired.
So far, no charges have been filed in Gary Blair's homicide.
The number of national news stories about Gary's murder? Zero.
JUST LIKE if a non-violent Black man with no criminal history and longstanding mental health issues had been tortured and starved to death by a malicious, anti-Black jail hierarchy, all while being held in a facility he wasn't supposed to be in, all for a pre-trial misdemeanor.
