Our KLC members took time today to talk to each other about public school funding and how we can reinvest tax dollars BACK into our schools and our kids! #txlege #TXPublicEd

Check out the inflation affecting our public schools from 2019-2022. We’re asking the State to help our schools offset these inflationary costs with more funds going to public education. #txlege #TXPublicEd

We’re asking you to keep these three things at the forefront while you advocate for our public schools this session! #txlege #TXPublicEd

Thank you to today’s lunch sponsor, Campus Kids, LLC! We’re so happy to have Mr. Drown supporting all things Klein ISD. ❤️

It’s a full house today at our May KLC meeting! Ready to share some important information and tips on how to support our Texas public schools!

Don’t forget: ACTION OVER APATHY Let’s advocate for EVERY kid in our Texas public schools! If you don’t agree with the way TX is funding our schools… ❌ Say NO to #schoolvouchers. ❌ #txed #txpubliced

“Silence can be seen as support.” - @KleinISD Superintendent Dr. @jenny_mcgown reminding KLC members to make their voices heard to their representatives. Don’t agree with #schoolvouchers? Call your representatives! #txed #txpubliced

Academic outcome and financial accountability or transparency are NOT REQUIRED for private schools. Why are public schools held to a different standard when they are being given LESS funding than private schools? #txed #txpubliced #schoolvouchers

Why are public school students worth less than private school students, Texas? PUBLIC school basic per-pupil allotment: $6,160 PRIVATE school basic per-pupil allotment proposed for school vouchers: $8,000 Make it make sense. #schoolvouchers #txed #txpubliced

“Let’s make sure the party line does not forget about the front line—the classroom teachers who teach and sacrifice our kids every day.” Powerful moment of clarity from @KleinISD Superintendent Dr. @jenny_mcgown on #schoolvouchers. #txed #texaspubliced

What an awesome turnout with so many dedicated & passionate people. Thank you all for coming to this month’s KLC Luncheon! See you next time! Check out these graphics to find out who represents you and steps to take when you contact your elected official! #txed #texaspubliced

Thank you to the #KleinISDBoard for passing the Family First Resolution which solidifies & puts on paper how seriously @KleinISD takes partnerships with parents aka what Dr. @jenny_mcgown says is “just how we do business.” Happy #SchoolBoardMonth!

Thank you to #KleinISDBoard President Mr. Rob Ellis for coming up to speak to us today & showing us all his deep appreciation for our commitment to @KleinISD & public education. Let’s keep investing in our community, so it continues getting better. #KleinFamily #txed

“There’s nothing more patriotic than cherishing, protecting & fighting for public education which gives EVERY kid, no matter their circumstances, a chance at a better future.
YOU make a difference when you lift your voice to do what is right by kids & @KleinISD.” -@jenny_mcgown

“Do you really think any of this matters?”

“I have decided on the front end, in faith, that the way I’m going to answer that question is with ACTION rather than apathy. I want us to engage with action & hope.” - @jenny_mcgown Powerful reminder from Dr. McGown to take action!

49th in the nation for per pupil spending? Texas, we can do better. Thank you to our friends from Stand Up for Klein ISD for coming to talk about how we can continue making it a priority to ensure our kids receive the best because they deserve it! #txed #txpubliced #kleinisd
