We’re excited to announce that Kredete has raised $22M in Series A funding from @AfricInvest_Grp via their Cathay AfricInvest Innovation Fund and Financial Inclusion Vehicle (FIVE), @PartechPartners , and @polymorphiccap Capital to expand credit-building infrastructure and stablecoin-powered transfers across 40+ African countries.
Over the years, we have helped millions of African immigrants stay connected to home by making it easier to send money to their families, pay with cards, and save securely.
This raise fuels our next chapter as we expand our stablecoin infrastructure that powers global money movement for Africans everywhere—unlocking access, credit, and opportunity across 40+ countries.
To our team, partners, and investors—thank you. We’re just getting started.

PARTNER: @Kredete content reached 1,007,848,343 unique people in 186 countries between July 1 and September 6, 2026, according to the company’s new State of Crypto in Emerging Markets 2026 report. 98% of them live in emerging markets.
Reach counts people who saw Kredete content, not customers or accounts. The report pairs the company’s campaign data with research from a16z crypto, BVNK, Chainalysis and the IMF.
Asia and Africa made up 93% of that reach. India alone accounted for 257 million, Nigeria for 38.5 million, and Kredete reached all 54 African countries.
Kredete says the cost gap helps explain this. According to a16z crypto, receiving $200 through a remittance service costs about $13.30. A stablecoin transfer costs under a cent.
Ownership is already there too. In BVNK’s survey, 87% of respondents in Nigeria own crypto or stablecoins. Yet Latin America and Africa together made up under $1 billion of the $350 billion to $550 billion in genuine stablecoin payments in 2025.

Kredete, a real-time cross-border payments platform, has completed the acquisition of an entity holding a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license issued by South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
South Africa is one of the most regulated digital asset markets on the continent, with the FSCA having approved 310 of 533 CASP license applications as of March 2026.
With this acquisition, Kredete plans to expand its stablecoin-powered remittance and payment services to South African users and businesses, while continuing to build the infrastructure that connects diaspora communities to their home countries.

Kredete has now been licensed to operate as an International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO) in Ghana.
Granted by the Bank of Ghana, the license authorizes Kredete to provide international money transfer services directly within Ghana's regulated financial-services framework.
The license gives Kredete the regulatory foundation to build remittance services tailored to the specific needs of Ghanaian customers and their connections abroad, backed by the governance and risk management standards expected of a licensed financial institution.
This adds to Kredete's growing regulatory footprint across Africa and Latin America, reflecting the company's approach of expanding responsibly, market by market.
