New chapter, new state in New England. 📍 It’s great to be able to share with you I’m joining @FOX61News in Connecticut this week as the new Executive Producer of Sports. 📺 Excited to team up with @Shawn_Humphrey2 & our crew to help present “Connecticut Game Week” & the station’s coverage of UConn Athletics this season. Planning on contributing on the air with the show & with additional coverage as well. Will be fun to jump into the mix on the local sports scene in CT. So appreciative of the Northeast Tegna team for allowing me to take on this new challenge. Thank you to @ealbert410, @ToddFox43, Terry Wood & Chris Topf for this opportunity. And thanks to good friend @jackiedetore for pumping me up & taking care of me! Happy to be stepping back into a full-time role in the business. As I told my Mom recently, it’s been a “challenging year,” but I’ve learned a lot about myself & about the industry these past 11 months. Grateful to have had some of the new experiences I’ve had. Glad also to have had a reset & more time with family & friends. What I’m most thankful for is all the people who helped me through it. The support, the texts, the phone calls, the check-ins, the new opportunities…I’ve got a lot of great people in my life who made sure I was good. Thank you to everyone who picked me up (and listened to all the ideas & possibilities, there were a lot of them). Please know how much it has meant to me. Continuing on with teaching @HarringtonURI this Fall & with a new class, which will be a new challenge in itself. Also plan to continue to freelance locally, so will still see you around at Brown, PC, UConn & other places. Lotta driving upcoming, so podcast recs welcomed. Let the work begin! 💪
