🏴 In the Scottish town of St Andrews, a ginger-and-white cat named Hamish McHamish became one of the town’s most beloved residents.
Born in 1999, Hamish originally had an owner, but he preferred a life of freedom, wandering between homes, shops, cafés, and university buildings.
Local residents welcomed him, fed him, and gave him places to rest. Over the years, he became known as the town’s unofficial mascot, loved by students, shopkeepers, and visitors alike.
His popularity grew so much that he even had his own social media accounts and a book written about his adventures.
In April 2014, residents raised £5,000 to erect a bronze statue in his honor. Remarkably, Hamish was still alive and even appeared at the unveiling ceremony to see his own statue.
Just five months later, on September 11, 2014, Hamish passed away at the age of 15 after battling a chest infection.
Today, his statue still stands in St Andrews, a lasting tribute to a cat who belonged to one person but was loved by an entire town.

Do you remember that I shared a thing called a 'petition' a few weeks ago?
It was about cats which were run over on the roads.
Uncle David has been working very hard and he let Betty know that there is going to be an important discussion about it in Parliament today.
I haven't got a clue what 'Parliament' is but I'm sure that lots of humans have heard of it.
If you would like an update about the petition, please click this link youtube.com/live/O7anHRnLB2o…
I don't know why Betty shared this photo of me.
It makes me look silly doesn't it?
This is a beautiful weekend here. We went out to the park, to the dog store & finally a pup cup! An excellent day! Mum & Dad’s anniversary, but we spent it together. We took some nice photos maybe we’ll post them. #Dudley #TakeYourDog #StBernard

SNUGGLES IS HEADED TO THE COURT OF APPEALS.
Snuggles' family isn't backing down. Their legal team just filed the opening brief challenging the destruction order.
Now the other side has 40 days to respond.
That's 40 more days of Snuggles still here and still fighting, with his family in his corner the whole way.
If you've been following his story, don't look away now. The petition and the GoFundMe are in the reply below.

My first 48 hours in my forever home: Part 1- the first few hours; by Paddy, Retired Greyhound 🐾

It's the night before the dog show so we went for an hour long ride in the van to go there and set our crates up and let my little brother see the rings and look around while it's quiet. Then we drove all the way home. We could have done the set up in the morning but then we'd be leaving so much earlier. Like before the drive thru sells breakfast kinda early.
The human says it's not far enough from home to justify a hotel unless the weather is bad. I think not having to drive back and forth each day would have been worth it. Her butt is gonna be very sore after that many hours in the wheelchair without a chance to get out and have a lay down. Especially by day 3. She's kinda cranky when her butt hurts. If she were a dinosaur she'd be a frugalsauras. That was a joke in case you aren't laughing.
Before bed she took the grinding machine to my nails. Then she chopped up the special high value treats for tomorrow. There's no rewards in or near obedience rings and we do a lot of stuff in them so we get the super special reward when we've done our round. Think chicken AND pork.
And now it's sleepy time. I'm gonna dream big. ❤️🐾

🐾❤️ STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO NOTICE HIM ❤️🐾
In a quiet lil kennel, a black Labrador sits patiently behind a metal gate.
He has a raised bed, a metal bowl, and a lil sunlight shining on the worn floor.
He doesn’t bark or make a fuss. He just sits there, watching everyone who walks by.
Every time he hears footsteps, he lifts his head a lil… hoping this time, someone will stop.
Maybe someone will call his name, reach out, and gently rub behind his ears.
He doesn’t know how long he’s been there. He only knows he’s still waiting…
Waiting for someone to look beyond those kennel bars and see the sweet, loving soul behind his beautiful eyes.
He’s ready for a home.
He’s been ready for so longs
Can’t adopt him? Pls share his story. One share could help him find the loving family he deserves.
ADOPT. FOSTER. SHARE. 🐾❤️ Give this sweet boy a chance to finally be seen. 🏡🐶
