fighting in urban landscape is always a failing proposition for traditional army but my money is on El Sal. Nayib will follow scorched earth policy thereby removing all handicaps for Army - shoot first ask questions later
in El Salvador, it used to be "don't touch the foreigners, because they'll send the army" now it is "don't touch the Salvadorans, because he'll send the army"

Pou chèf gang yo ak manm gang yo k ap kenbe kat konpatriyòt nou yo an otaj ann Ayiti: Mesye nou kidnape yo pa konbatan. Nou deja fini ak gang yo nan El Salvador, e nou kapab fini ak nou tou. Nou toujou gen tan pou evite sa. Remèt nou kat konpatriyòt nou yo vivan, san okenn mal, epi tout bagay ap retounen jan sa te ye anvan kidnaping lan. Desizyon an nan men nou.

The single best parenting lesson I ever received was through an interaction with my dad when I was 12. I’d tried out for this baseball all star team. The coaches called to say they were taking 16 players and I was the 17th on the list. I didn't make it. I was devastated. It was my first real experience with a failure. I went to my room crying. My dad walked into my room and sat next to me. He said: "I know you're upset. I get it. But here are the three things the coaches said you needed to work on. Let's go out every day this summer and work on them together." And we did. He took me out to the local field damn near every single day that summer. He’d get home from a long day of work and I’d be waiting with a bucket of balls, bat, and glove. We’d play until it was too dark to see. At the time, I didn’t think anything of it. Now, as a parent myself, I realize the energy it required for him to come home and do that, day after day. I came back the next year a completely different player. Years later, when I got a scholarship to play at Stanford, I still thought back to that summer as the turning point. It took me having my own son to realize the parenting lesson in all of this. My dad had two options in that moment: 1. Tell me the coaches were idiots. They were wrong. They made a mistake. I was the best player. 2. Acknowledge my disappointment. Reframe it as a growth opportunity. Support me to go after it. It would have been easier to choose Option 1. I would have been happier to hear it. But it would have had a lasting negative impact on my life. There was a big difference between what I wanted to hear and what I needed to hear. My dad subtly reframed that failure as an opportunity. Then he showed up to help me capitalize on it. He handed me my agency in that moment and made sure I never let it go. I'll never forget that. Today is his 71st birthday. I couldn’t be more grateful for the life and legacy he’s created. Happy Birthday, Dad. I love you.

Another way the current administration is trapped in the ZERO-SUM FALLACY: The H-1B visa situation. + You are NOT taking a job from a citizen, rather creating jobs by increasing overal economic output. Plus these people (even vegetarians) SPEND locally. + The US has long been benefiting from other countries' brain drain; without it its edge wd collapse. Tesla, Von Braun, von Neumann, Fermi & Einstein did NOT each take the job of a citizen. + It the problem is anti-Indian racism, say it, don't play games.

US's intentional policy chaos on H1B's, GC process and growing anti-Indian hate from core base is going to be a blessing in disguise for India. All of that talent trapped in Golden Handcuff's will return to build in India!
Indians have made a major contribution to America's technological prowess. Yet, a big part of America no longer wants us. Indians who are on a visa in the US face the painful prospect of uprooting the life you have built with hard work. Let this be the birth pains of a bold new future. Come back, let's build India 🙏

When work feels like play, it changes your mindset, motivation, and intensity by removing the mental resistance of forced labor fundamentally alters your brain's relationship with effort & productivity by shifting your perspective from "I have to do this" to "I want to do this"
People struggle with intensity. They can do it for a couple days and then it’s gone. They convince themselves it’s normal. But it’s not normal for anyone who does great things.

HILTON: $928 Million for Solar Panels Went to Ballot Harvesting "A hundred million a year since 2015. By 2025 that's $1 billion. The invoices for actual solar panels were $72 million. $928 million went to nonprofits doing 'environmental justice.' When you look at what that is, it's voter registration and ballot harvest. And that's what the scam is."
