I don’t think anyone deserves to have a whole press pack spend years paying the father for stories to bully her with.
A level of hate has filled this site for years and fan or not when you read daily abuse toward her over anything just for existing it stirs in me the need to stand up for her and I don’t know why. Except I remember Diana. And cannot believe no lessons were learnt by the Royal family. Meghan can not be seen for months but still he abused daily by people like piers Morgan and Dan wootoon.
And now it’s so clear that everyone knew about her father. The heir was trying to stop people talking about his affair at the time and the trade was feeding the journalists enough lies that kept papers selling and his secrets hidden. Protecting the reputation of the heir was more important than truth or her sanity. She was up against an institution telling her to shut up.
But this all powerful family let Thomas lead the good life being paid for stories to say she was a horrible person and daughter. The slobby, drunk, white guy living in Asia to pay for sex openly was deemed as solid as a rock by some journalists. A heartbroken father. Cannot imagine the level of despair daily as he was dragged out for interviews knowing the accusations. A police force that didn’t help her and a family that wouldn’t protect her. They used her father to make her appear to be a monster. The goal was to drive her to suicide or to break up their marriage. No other person cops that much hate and vitriol. She has protected her children from her father. But they let Piers hound her to let the children meet him. Baiting her and taunting her. Sort of hate that should be saved for evil people. We teach our kids not to bully but let the British media and the Australian media do it daily against one woman.

Hey, @nytimes, the headline should read "Thomas Markle Arrested..." not "Meghan Markle's Father Arrested..." Don't do that to her; that's tabloid reporting, and we don't need to do that here. Well, unless you want to be a bottom-feeder. 🤷🏼♀️

That’s no matter how much Prince William tries to say that The Royal Family is very much not a racist family and no matter how much their defenders say Meghan Sussex and Prince Harry was wrong in saying the family expressed ‘concerns’ about how dark their children would be and it was just excited curiosity. The woman who found my missing cat started crying when I told her I was coming to pick her up.
Then she asked if she could have one more hour with her.
My cat, Hattie, disappeared five months ago.
She's a six-year-old gray tabby with a white chin. I came home from work one afternoon and found the screen on my bedroom window had come loose.
Hattie was gone.
I spent weeks putting up flyers, checking shelters, and walking around calling her name. Every picture someone sent me of a gray cat made my heart jump.
It was never her.
Eventually, I stopped checking my phone constantly. I still left her food bowl in the kitchen.
Last Tuesday, a veterinary clinic called. A woman had brought in a cat with a sore paw, and the staff found my number through her microchip.
It was Hattie.
The woman, Miriam, lived two miles away. She said Hattie had appeared behind her garage during the summer, thin and frightened. Miriam started feeding her, then brought her inside.
"I didn't know she belonged to anyone."
I told her I'd been searching for months.
She went quiet, then asked if I could come that evening instead of right away.
"She sleeps beside me after lunch," she said. "I'd like to sit with her one more time."
Her voice broke.
I said yes.
