Struggling today to set aside distractions to get my editing done. Lack of sleep and responsibilities play a role. Problems that in the grand scheme of things, are not problems.
This explanation of what I write has been on my website for years. I feel like sharing it today. #WriterCommunity #readerscommunity
Since my novels end up at around 80-85k we’re about 1/4 of the way complete. Inciting event is in the books and we’re off full speed into the meat of the story. Loads of grit has already been deployed. #workinprogress #wip #recklessnovel
No association with any one challenge, my novel “Undertow” is with the editor so it’s time to get this one down. Reckless is a gritty dive into the rebellion of Antigos, and Raserei learns what a monster really is, and if he is one himself. #workinprogress #wordcountupdate
On national cat day, I want to share this photo of my Calypso on my booksbelf. She loves to interrupt when I’m writing or editing by demanding my lap. She’s sassy, talkative, and I adore her. #nationalcatday

Come find me on Facebook! If you were in my old group, that page is dead in the water. Facebook shut down my account with no hope to appeal. So, join me at my new location.
I’ve been doing a lot of colored pencil using the subject of alpacas at the farm where we keep ours. This is the owner’s foundation sire and he’s a handsome guy - so I tried my hand at a portrait. #alpaca #alpacalove #alpacalover #alpacalovers #alpacas #indieauthor
70/100. Never skied but tried snow boarding. No tattoos and never failed a class (got real close once, teacher let me retake the final).
Getting feedback is a highlight to being an author, especially when it sounds like this! I’m thankful to my readers and I look forward to bringing more adventure in my original world this fall. If you haven’t tried the Shadow Council Series yet, it’s time to check it out.
Calypso is my tortie and editing helper. By helper I mean forcing herself into my lap while I type. It’s either that, or knocking things off my shelves. There’s no in-between.
The completed first season of the Shadow Council Series is available. Sink in to episodic gritty high fantasy with this novella series. #highfantasy #tropes #morallygrey #morallygray #assassins #forcedproximity

Saraian daggers are for ceremonial ending of life, not combat. But ever since the Great War, and even more recently the war where the Philios took over the continent, spoils of war have become commonplace. One of these would be the crown jewel in a Philios noble’s collection.
