Our Director, Chaplain Craig Muehler, was honored to attend the 200th anniversary of Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis. LCMS Chaplain Kurtis Bueltmann, who serves as Chaplain for 131st Bomb Wing, provided the invocation. Muehler and Bueltmann are pictured with Don Wolfinger, a retired Army officer and member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood, MO.

“Preparing for war means praying for peace. Armed Forces Ministry Book is designed to support all chaplains and members of the Armed Forces who proclaim the ultimate peace from Christ, as foretold through the prophet Isaiah: “He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore” (Isaiah 2:4)” -Armed Forces Ministry Book Committee forms.office.com/r/ycD6PU41z…
Baptisms are one of our Chaplains' greatest joys as they serve military members and their families. Here Chaplain Karl Gibbs does the baptism for the child of a Coast Guard member, Kira. Thanks to Zion Lutheran in Belleville, IL for opening up their sanctuary for this special occasion. Welcome to God's family, Kira!
