Many prescription medicines can affect work or driving. The questions should be the same: Are you impaired? Can you do the task safely? What does your doctor advise? Medicinal cannabis patients deserve fair treatment. Their medicine’s name shouldn’t decide their future.

You mention cannabis and suddenly people see you differently. Same work. Same responsibilities. Same person. Patients and adult consumers deserve respect. What’s one thing you wish people understood before judging you?

A prescription is only part of access. Affording it matters too. When bills are piling up, medicinal cannabis can mean another difficult choice. We support affordable medicinal access and legal home grow for adults, including patients and their carers.

When a patient struggles to access treatment or faces restrictions on driving, the pressure can fall on someone else too. A partner takes time off work. A daughter makes another trip. A friend becomes the regular lift. Carers belong in the cannabis reform conversation.

Cannabis consumers are parents, carers, tradies, business owners, retirees and neighbours. Responsible adults shouldn’t have to hide their personal use to avoid being judged. Using cannabis doesn’t tell you whether someone is kind, reliable or good at their job. #legalisecannabis

Maybe cannabis isn’t part of your life. But fairness is. You can support an adult’s right to choose without making the same choice yourself. You can want patients treated with dignity, sensible regulation and the freedom to grow a plant at home. legalisecannabis.org.au/join

Groceries. A family outing. Fixing the car. Finally getting ahead on a bill. That’s where people’s money belongs. Imagine being able to grow your own cannabis and enjoy a quiet weekend without worrying that a personal choice could become a financial punishment. #legalisecannabis

Prohibition denies adults the autonomy to decide what they put into their own bodies. Criminalising personal cannabis use is an intrusion into bodily integrity and the right to self-determination. Responsible adults should be treated like adults, not criminals. #legalisecannabis

As part of our plan, we call for all historical personal-use cannabis criminal records to be expunged. No one should continue to be punished through barriers to employment, housing or travel for possessing or growing cannabis for their own use. It’s time to clear the records.

Medicinal cannabis can provide real relief, but its high cost puts it out of reach for many pensioners and people on low incomes. As part of our plan, carers would be allowed to grow cannabis for the person they care for, providing an affordable, reliable supply of medicine

Democracy is about having a voice, being heard, and having the power to push for change. For cannabis law reform, that means continuing to challenge outdated laws, speaking up against injustice and ensuring the voices of patients, consumers and the wider community are heard.

Just How Insensitive Are Australia’s RDT Testing Devices?
July 2021, Swinburne study, Medicinal Cannabis Detectability Trial, heralded by Victorian Minister of Road Safety. Victorian Government did not want the reader to see evidence that the Securetec DrugWipe screener is hopeless at detecting THC in oral fluid. lcqparty.org/just_how_insens…

Cannabis affects everyone differently, and the way it’s taken matters too—flower, oils, capsules, edibles, vaping, creams or balms. What works best for you, and what symptoms or condition do you use it for? legalisecannabis.org.au

Another week with medicinal cannabis patients across Australia facing an impossible choice: Go without the medicine that works for them, go without their licence, or run the gauntlet every time they get behind the wheel. How much longer should patients have to live like this?

People use cannabis to relax, sleep, switch off, reduce stress, ease discomfort, improve appetite or simply feel better. So where is the line between medical, recreational and personal use? Do you think cannabis use can be therapeutic regardless of what label we put on it?

In a fair Australia, spring should mean the freedom to plant a few cannabis seeds in your own backyard. For food. For wellbeing. For medicine. For yourself. Australians shouldn’t be criminals for growing a plant for personal use. Grow plants — not criminal records.

Living with chronic pain is hard enough. Patients using prescribed medicinal cannabis shouldn't have to face stigma as well. It's time for better education, greater understanding, and respect for patients and their treatment choices. legalisecannabis.org.au/join
