The League of Filipino Students awaits with bated breath the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte for his crimes against humanity after the release of a red notice by the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).

Marcos Jr. said that the admin will comply with an arrest order. The PNP has also expressed its readiness to โuphold any legal obligationsโ from the INTERPOL order. Officers are now deployed to country entrypoints to await Duterteโs arrival from a campaign sortie in Hong Kong.
Despite these positive steps by Malacaรฑang and the PNP, only public pressure can ensure that the arrest pushes through owing to the nature of politics in the country. The Filipino people must remain vigilant and adamantly call for justice.
