"...more than 90 percent of UAB full-time faculty and staff are already in compliance with the federal vaccine requirement." 💚💛👏
I wasn’t on the field but I was in the stadium. Best sports memory ever!
Don't know where you were on 10/28/95 as The @Braves celebrated winning their first World Series, but I was, um, well, on the field.

People have a lot of anger and frustration in their lives but feel powerless to direct it towards the sources of those feelings so they pick the easier, more vulnerable targets that have low probability of countering with real consequence.

Hey @amazon, we do not like the new confirmation emails. It does not help me to know what department my order came from in the preview. If you’re giving me a preview, please send the description and/or the thumbnail photo instead of your department icon.
I got to see my all-time favorite band last night, and it was special to be there on Rich Robinson’s birthday.
Had a great chat with Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson. We talked about Rich's iconic guitar playing, underrated Crowes songs, Guns N' Roses connections, and the Crowes' early days playing dives around the South.

Today, @GovernorKayIvey showed what courageous and common sense leadership looks like.
By commuting the death sentence of Charles “Sonny” Burton, she ensured that justice—not technicalities—guides the most serious decision a state can make.
The tragic death of Doug Battle 35 years ago will never be forgotten. But as his daughter, Tori Battle, powerfully wrote, executing a man who did not pull the trigger would only compound that tragedy.
Justice and mercy walked together today.
Mercy saves lives. 🙏🏽

Puttering around the house is an underrated form of self-care. Make some tea or coffee. Put on a podcast. Sort the mail. Tidy some pillows and fold some blankets. Start the laundry. Thaw some soup. Just casually wander around aimlessly doing little things to make your space and life a little nicer. Who cares if you get distracted or only do a little? You aren't being productive. You're puttering.

“Why are folks getting dumber?” Because they don’t read. “Why aren’t men as romantic & poetic as they used to be?” Because they don’t read. “Why are people so vulnerable to propaganda?” “Why is everyone a conspiracy theorist?” Because they don’t read. Because they don’t read.
