Joint statement from the Chair and vice-Chair of the Vermont Libertarian party:
The calls for violence by the now disaffiliated and fraudulent political club known as LPNH are antithetical to the core of libertarian beliefs. This republic was founded upon the idea and ideals of equal rights for all people and a government by the consent of the governed. The founders placed numerous checks and balances in the new Constitution to ensure continued peaceful transitions of power because they had just fought and sacrificed so greatly. Domestic tranquility and the blessings of liberty were what they desired for us - their posterity - and it would be deeply unwise to ignore this and throw it away for factional interests. As libertarianism is premised upon the foundations of non-aggression and equal natural rights for all, we stand for peaceable political change and against violence.
The bottom line is that the Libertarian National Committee officially kicked LPNH out of the party back in May, and this was unanimously confirmed by the Judicial committee during the appeal. The Granite State Libertarian party is the correct and proper affiliate of the national Libertarian party, and we welcome our new neighbors with glad hearts and goodwill.
This is absolute lunacy. And to all the fiscal conservatives conned into voting for the orange doofus - thanks. Thanks so very much.
One hundred and sixty-one years ago today, General Gordon Granger rode into Galveston, Texas, enforcing the freedom of a quarter million people and helping to close out one of the darkest and bloodiest chapters in our nation's history. Our nation's founding vision and self-evident truths lay out a path for us to walk - but we must each summon the effort to actually take the steps. The Declaration of Independence lays out the noblest of philosophies of the rights we each possess, as self-authors capable of will and consent.
Yet no philosophy is self-enforcing. Every day we therefore have the choice put before us - do we act to affirm or to deny these rights? And we ought never forget: in depriving anyone else of these rights, we ultimately serve to deny ourselves these rights. When we choose to indulge authoritarian whim to achieve our ends, we act to directly imperil our own liberty. Our nation's brightest voices weave together as a tapestry, a template; if we are wise enough to listen to them, and courageous enough to follow, we shall secure the blessings of liberty for this generation, and the next.
The Vermont Libertarian party wishes EVERYONE a very happy Juneteenth in celebration of freedoms won - then, and now, and always.
This community note is a work of art.
The Second Amendment is your right. It is not up for negotiation. Republicans will always defend it.

This post claims strong 2A support, yet H.R. 645 (National Constitutional Carry Act) has been stalled in the House Judiciary Committee since Jan 23, 2025 (no hearings or floor vote). The GOP-led Congress has funded the ATF near prior levels despite proposed deeper cuts.

It doesn't matter that Elon's a trillionaire, it matters how he made it. His sweet heart back room deals (including buying Trump the election) allowed him to leverage government favor and subsidy more than anyone to date.
If he had used the free market instead of leaning on his government buddies to help him get here, this would represent a monumental achievement. Instead it represents monumental corruption at the highest of levels.
Our country doesn't have a money problem quite so much as we have a morality problem.
