I've kept this quiet, but as things are now in place I should talk about it. I found out I was losing my vision last year. I've been functionally blind in one eye for about 6 months, and 2mm away from losing the sight in the other eye.
Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival has a strong story weighed down by a few performance issues and weird choices.

Can't help but laugh at the fact that the Galactic Racer review on the site is doing great, and meanwhile Youtube refuses to do anything with the video version and it has a grand total of four views 😂
Star Wars Galactic Racer brings together classic ideas with new twists. A brilliant Star Wars racer that claims its crown across the galaxy - Our Review is now live:

Finally able to post this.
Satisfactory has a DLC coming! And we got to talk to the team about it and ask a few questions.

I honestly don't think it can be overstated just how impactful, how many memories even now watching the OG WoW cinematic can evoke. Seeing Forever revealed, the snow, the bear... I can't wait.
It was fantastic to meet new friends and old this year in Germany. Some of the pictures we took are now treasured memories I'll keep for as long as possible.
Every year I tell myself I'll make more time to hang out, and every year we both know that's a lie.
Maybe next year?🙃
Been silent since Gamescom as I got hit by con-flu so just been putting my energy in to writing.
We have a bunch of cool shit we checked out and a handy dandy category on the website. Check it out.

Back from Gamescom, and outside of the obvious thefts issue, there is a lot they could do better with their staff training.
Most of their people ONLY speak German. for me as a Belgian person, I can understand and kind of reply, but would still prefer to converse in English.
I've seen staff yell at people just kindly asking them information. Often while being forcibly guided away from where they needed/wanted to be, and without the option to go back or speak to anyone about their worries.
I had to help someone having a panic attack because of how rude the staff treated them. they just wanted to know if they could leave the premises and get back in, as the exit required scanning their QR code and they got worried entrance was single use. The guard just yelled in their face (visible spit included)
I myself was guided into the crowded main entrance waiting queue on the first day. My Trade ticket should have allowed me to use a different entrance, but once I was pushed into the larger group, it was impossible to return.
My bag, filled to the brim (with metal coins among others) was only checked once in 3 days and just opening 1 pocket was enough for them.
People in full cosplay werent checked to verify if their very visible gun was real or fake.
Speaking of cosplay, I saw visible mockery of some cosplayers and male guards taking pics of female cosplayers. (Remember: Cosplay ≠ consent)
At the ticket gate, my QR code wouldn't scan. I wanted to go explain to the nearest security guard, but got yelled off by a woman shouting "Nur Ausgang" (= only exit) to me because I stepped off to the side to ask why my code didnt work.
Turns out if you installed the Gamescom app last year, even after an update & new login this year, it would still show your 2025 QR code. Luckily this was explained to me by another more friendlier member of staff who intervened.
My friends from @pr_hound were denied entry on Wednesday evening, to attend the Xbox Fan Fest event, because the Gamescom staff denied them entrance. They didnt know about the on-site event. They spent hours on the train for nothing. 😢
For an event of this scale, and lets be honest: generating millions in income, I don't think it's too much to ask to:
- have staff who can speak English
- are trained in security protocols
- are friendly to visitors
- know about the different types of tickets & events.
This was my 8th time at Gamescom and I feel like it's getting worse every year, not better.
I really hope they try to do better.

lol these dorks actually stole our water bottles. Loser energy.
Funniest part of this to me personally is I asked for help to leave via South entrance instead of North after a party, explained I was disabled and hurt my leg. I was told no, all sets of doors are locked, so was made to walk all the way round 🙃Security sucks in multiple ways.
We are aware of stolen hardware and take these reports very seriously and understand the frustration of affected exhibitors.
Since many requests reached us, we would like to inform about general security regulations at the event:
Uniformed guards provide general security across the venue. Individual stand security can be booked separately, and exhibitors are advised to insure equipment against theft.
This is noted in the terms and conditions of participation and the technical guidelines.
All cases have been reported to us and to the police, and investigations are already underway.
We also want to ensure that the reported cases are individual cases, which we are very sorry to read.
Because security has one of the highest priorities to us as an event and to see that indie developers are affected makes us very sad. At an event of this size, however, there will always be individuals attempting to take advantage of the situation.
Our security measures are designed to minimize such risks as effectively as possible.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While Gamescom frames these thefts as isolated incidents, investigations into the event's security providers have revealed significant vulnerabilities. A WDR investigation found that one-third of the security guards checked had violations, including missing IDs. www1.wdr.de/nachrichten/rh…
It’s heartbreaking to see this happen. No dev should bring their work, their passion, their life, to share with people and have it stolen from them.
@RyanLaley I’m so sorry this happened to you. Will definitely see how we can help shine some light on Mimic.
My #gamescom cut short. Our equipment was stolen last night from the booth.
Police reports have been filed.
At a loss for words to describe the feeling. Just defeated. Gonna do my best with what's left of the week.
But a huge blow financially and mentally

I played 15 hours of Star Wars Zero Company and was left wanting so much more. It’s looking like a possible GOTY candidate. Check out my preview for @TechRaptor!

Any gamescom first-timers have questions about the show or Cologne?
See ya there?
Today I learnt that @The_Ben_Starr is the world’s biggest Little Mix fan.
