What is verified so far:
- On Nov. 6 at 8:37 p.m., a Ring doorbell recorded an incident outside the apartment of University of Mississippi student Jakiyra Metcalf in Oxford, Mississippi.
- Metcalf posted the clip to TikTok, said she was harassed by fellow students, tagged the university, and directed viewers to the school's equal opportunity and compliance office.
- Multiple independent news aggregators and online investigators identified the three women in the footage as Lauren Mayfield, Sara Whitehead and Alaina Kunes, and described the sounds and gestures as racist (monkey noises, demeaning gestures).
- Public reaction has centered on demands for discipline, suspension or expulsion.
**What is NOT verified yet:**
- No official Ole Miss statement on this specific incident has been published as of this post.
- No student-conduct finding, sanction, suspension or expulsion has been confirmed.
- No police report, arrest, charge or criminal classification has been independently verified. Calling the act a "crime" requires a law-enforcement record and legal elements; online outrage doesn't create that record.
- The names circulating online are media and social-media identifications, not judicial findings of responsibility.
- Details beyond the clip — affiliations, prior history, who else was present, the exact legal theory being considered — remain unconfirmed.
Why the distinction matters: university discipline (an internal conduct process) and criminal prosecution (a court record) are two separate tracks. Something can be judged unacceptable and worthy of sanctions without being charged as a crime, and the reverse is also true. Mixing the two collapses the process people are asking the school to follow.
For a responsible update thread: label every claim by source, repeat "alleged" where the school hasn't confirmed, don't direct followers to contact the three women directly, don't add unverified affiliations, and update only when an official statement, conduct decision or police report appears.
The evidence in the video can be disturbing on its own. It doesn't need extra labels to be taken seriously — and it doesn't deserve premature ones either.

So Alaina Kunes, one of the girls making monkey noises at the Black woman’s door, has a family history of racism. Her dad owns a car dealership, and a Black customer went there for an oil change and the N-word was written on their car by him or one of his employees. @OleMiss

NEW BOMBSHELL! RECEIPTS! Elon Musk missed Sen. Richard Blumenthal's Nov. 5 deadline to explain who restricted Ukraine's Starshield and said nothing. No answers. No documents. The Oct. 22 letter asked 9 questions: who ordered the October restriction, who was told, whether Ukraine was warned, who holds the power to shut off Starshield, and how much of your taxpayer money is in his contracts.
The answer: over $2 billion in named Starlink and Starshield contracts, plus a $1.8 billion government-owned Starshield constellation.
On Oct. 13, Starshield terminals were capped above 100 mph—the speed drones fly at—after a conversation with Donald Trump, per the Wall Street Journal. Musk says the military decides. On Oct. 27, the Pentagon's inspector general refused to investigate.
On Nov. 5, Ukraine's Denys Sienik said Kyiv asked the Pentagon, the White House, and SpaceX: "Nobody provided answers." Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he doubts Musk acted alone. Apartheid Clyde controls the satellites your taxes paid for, and he answers to nobody. Donald Trump didn't give him the power—ownership did.
Mr. Trump gives him protection. The briefing is due Nov. 12. Tick tock. This is the scam. This is the fraud. The biggest Ponzi scheme in history—your tax dollars, his switch, no accountability.
"THE LAST THING AUTHORITARIANS WANT IS AN INDEPENDENT THINKER AND A TRUTH-TELLER. They can handle a crowd. They can't handle one person who thinks for themselves and refuses to shut up. That's why they come for the press, the teachers, and every voice that won't obey. EVERYBODY KNOWS IT."

🚨 BREAKING: GINA HINOJOSA GIVES ELON MUSK UNTIL DECEMBER TO PAY ALL OUTSTANDING TAXES OWED IN TEXAS OR FACE SERIOUS LEGAL CONSEQUENCES. 🇺🇸
Texas Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa has reportedly issued a December deadline to Elon Musk, demanding that Tesla and his other companies operating in Texas fully comply with applicable state tax obligations or face potential legal and regulatory action.
The development could open another major political confrontation between the Democrats and Republicans, particularly as Donald Trump and several Republican allies have maintained close political ties with Elon Musk.
Hinojosa, a Democrat, is making it clear that her incoming administration will not give special treatment to billionaires or major corporations. She reportedly wants Tesla and other Musk-owned businesses to meet their tax responsibilities rather than benefit from political connections.
The situation could further intensify the growing divide between Democrats and Republicans, with Trump’s relationship with Musk potentially becoming another talking point in the battle over corporate taxation, economic policy and political influence in Texas.
The controversy also raises questions about the future of Tesla’s operations in Texas, considering the company’s significant manufacturing presence in the state. Any proposed changes to corporate taxation could have implications for Tesla’s business plans, investment decisions and relationship with the incoming Democratic administration.
Meanwhile, Republicans close to Donald Trump could find themselves under pressure to respond, especially given Musk’s public support for Trump and his involvement in Republican political circles. Democrats, on the other hand, could use the controversy to reignite discussions about billionaire wealth, corporate accountability and whether major companies should receive preferential treatment.
With December approaching, all eyes would be on Elon Musk, Tesla, Donald Trump and the Republican leadership to see how they respond to the proposed ultimatum.
I genuinely want to understand what’s going on between Gina Hinojosa and Elon Musk. Why does she seem so determined to go after him and his businesses, particularly Tesla? Is this purely political because Musk is a close ally of Donald Trump and the Republicans, or is there more to the story? What am I missing? 🇺🇸
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Gina Hinojosa is Texas governor-elect but takes office January 2027 and has issued no December tax deadline or legal ultimatum to Elon Musk or his companies.

A man on The Price Is Right guessed the showcase at $23,743. The actual retail price was $23,743. The show's own staff thought he had cheated.
In September 2008, Terry Kniess was on stage with a trailer, a pool table and a karaoke machine in front of him. His opponent passed the showcase to him. He didn't round the number.
In the video below, host Drew Carey reads the result: "Actual retail price, $23,743. You got it right on the nose."
Kniess won both showcases, $56,437 in prizes. It was the first exact showcase bid since the early '70s.
Behind the scenes it was a crisis. Carey and the staff worried the show was rigged and that someone had fed him the answer.
Kniess later said he had recorded and watched every episode for four months and had seen all three items before. The 743, he said, was his PIN, built from his wedding date and his wife's birth month.
But there was someone else in the audience. Ted Slauson, a math teacher, says he went to 37 tapings and spent years tracking prices. "The same refrigerator freezer is on four different episodes... $789 all four times."
Slauson later claimed he helped Kniess make the perfect bid. Kniess says he did it alone.
After that, the producers started rotating in more and different prizes so the prices couldn't be memorized.
Bob Barker, who hosted for 35 years, put it best: "Without those people, I would have had to work for a living."
Was it the smartest contestant in the show's history, or the best-hidden helper in the crowd?
