Been practicing birds in flight Shots recently.

Spotted sandpiper (juvenile) at Nostell Priory, Wakefield, Yorkshire this morning. Its 6th day here. Also saw Black Tern nearby at Pugneys Country Park . With @LEEDSTILIDIE1

Great day out at Spurn with @stevengthomps62 Hume's Warbler, Bluethroat, Isabelline Shrike species, Black Redstarts and SEO's. Spent three hours looking for the Siberian Rubythroat 😳

Best I could manage of the Radde's Warbler at Flamborough this morning, but very very pleased with this lifer. With @LEEDSTILIDIE1 Also great to catch up with @paulcoombes844

Last two from Stanley Park, Vancouver this Sunday morning. The Glaucous-winged Gull granted me a selfie and my lovely partner Alyson was able to entice this Red-breasted Nuthatch with some food 😀

Last ones from my trip. These were taken on Sunday morning in Stanley park, Vancouver. Northern Flicker, Ruby-Crowned Kinglet, Chestnut-backed Chickadee and Spotted Towhee. 39 Lifers ✅

A distant record shot, but a bird I really wanted to see this trip. Rhinoceros Auklet, shame it is not in its summer plumage. Saw three this afternoon cruising The Inside Passage, Canada

Two more lifers from Alaska trip. Pine siskin and Dark-eyed Junco. Also plenty of American Robins around.

You don't really think about Hummingbirds in ALASKA, but here is one in Wrangell this morning. Anna's Hummingbird. Tricky thing to get a photo of.

Great Northern Diver/Common Loon and Song Sparrow from Homer Spit, Alaska yesterday. What an amazing place. Also had a beer or two in the famous Salty Dawg bar 🍻🍻

Really did not expect to see this Brown Booby or is it Cocos Booby ? This was slightly North of Yakutat Bay, Alaska early afternoon. Well North of its usual tropical range 🤔
