Whatever happened to a little yearning? ❤️
The anticipation. The flirting. The butterflies before a date. Actually getting to know someone before rushing into everything else.
There's something romantic about wanting someone and letting that connection build naturally.
Not everything needs to happen immediately.
Sometimes the slow burn is the best part.
Although apparently, the same philosophy applies to cookies. 🍪😂
Are we bringing yearning back, or is everyone too impatient?

Ever had a crush on someone you thought was completely out of your league? 👀
Well, someone might feel that way about YOU.
Here are 6 signs they may LIKE you but think you're OUT of their LEAGUE:
➡️ They seem confident with everyone except you.
They're relaxed and outgoing around other people, but suddenly become quiet, nervous, or unusually careful with their words when you're around.
➡️ They compliment you, then downplay themselves.
“You always look so put together. I could never pull that off.” They admire something about you while making a little joke at their own expense.
➡️ They act surprised when you show interest.
You flirt back or suggest getting together, and they seem genuinely caught off guard. Almost like they never considered you might feel the same way.
➡️ They assume you have plenty of options.
“You probably have people asking you out all the time.” They make little comments suggesting they think you're constantly getting attention.
➡️ They hesitate to make the first move.
They find reasons to talk to you and seem happy when you're around, but stop short of asking you out. They may be worried about rejection before they've even tried.
➡️ They become more confident when you encourage them.
You return a compliment, initiate a conversation, or suggest a date. Suddenly, they're more relaxed and willing to show their interest.
Of course, being nervous or insecure around someone doesn't automatically mean they're attracted to them.
But when someone consistently seeks you out, seems surprised by your attention, and becomes more comfortable when you show interest, attraction could be part of the reason.
And if you like them back? Give them a little encouragement.
They might be sitting there thinking they have absolutely no chance with you. 😂

A World Cup match for a first date?! Now THAT'S making an impression. 😂⚽
Earlier this year, I introduced two singles, and the gentleman already had tickets to a World Cup match.
So that's where they went for their very first date!
And apparently, we might need to find someone for the news anchor next. 😂
Would you say YES to a first date at a major sporting event, or would you rather start with something a little more low-key?

If I wanted to fall in LOVE before 2027, here's exactly what I'd do. ❤️
I've been a professional matchmaker for over 20 years, so I have a pretty good idea of where I'd start.
Here's what I'd do with the rest of 2026:
➡️ I'd tell people I'm single and looking.
Friends, coworkers, neighbors, even the person I always see at my favorite restaurant. People can't introduce you to someone if they don't know you're interested!
➡️ I'd stop texting for weeks without meeting.
If we hit it off, I'd suggest a date. Great chemistry over text doesn't always translate to real life, and I'd rather find that out sooner.
➡️ I'd give people outside my usual type a chance.
I'd still prioritize shared values and compatible lifestyles. But height, job titles, and having identical hobbies? I wouldn't let those eliminate someone great.
➡️ I'd actually make time for dating.
If every weekend is booked through New Year's, when exactly am I supposed to meet someone? A relationship needs room to develop.
And here's the part that might surprise you…
➡️I wouldn't spend the rest of 2026 trying to fall in love.
I'd spend it meeting people.
Going on dates. Having real conversations. Saying yes to introductions I might normally turn down.
Because falling in love isn't something you can schedule for December 31.
But putting yourself in a better position to meet someone?
That part is up to you. ❤️

I think most of us are more comfortable being admired than being known.
I like being someone people can count on.
Someone who has the answers, gets things done, and seems to have everything under control.
And of course, it feels good when people see me that way.
But being known is a different story.
It's letting someone see you when you're frustrated over something small.
Admitting you don't have an answer.
Or telling someone you're struggling when they'd never guess it from the outside.
I think a lot of us have gotten so used to being the person everyone can count on that we don't quite know what to do when someone wants to take care of us for a change.
We brush it off.
Tell them we're fine.
Change the subject.
And then wonder why we're surrounded by people who think the world of us and still feel like nobody really knows us.
Being admired feels wonderful.
But there's something even better about having someone know you well enough that you don't always have to be impressive.

People will do some pretty funny things to impress someone they like. 😂
And most of the time, they think they're being subtle.
Here are 7 signs someone may be trying to IMPRESS you because they LIKE you:
➡️ They suddenly become an expert at everything.
You mention something you're interested in, and suddenly they have a story, an accomplishment, or a suspiciously impressive amount of knowledge about it.
➡️ They put a little more effort into their appearance.
Fixing their hair, straightening their clothes, checking their reflection. They want to look their best when they know you're around.
➡️ They try extra hard to make you laugh.
They might be funny with everyone, but they pay special attention to YOUR reaction. If you laugh, they've practically won the lottery.
➡️ They find excuses to show off their skills.
Cooking, sports, fixing things, giving advice. Whatever they're good at, they'll find a way to casually demonstrate it.
➡️ They remember little things you've mentioned.
Your favorite restaurant, a trip you're planning, something you said weeks ago. They're hoping you'll notice how much attention they've been paying.
➡️ They care a little too much about your opinion.
A compliment from you seems to mean more than one from anyone else. And if you notice something they've worked hard on? Even better.
➡️ They become more animated when you're watching.
They tell better stories, make more jokes, or suddenly have a lot more personality when you're nearby. Especially if there's a little competition for your attention.
Of course, some people just love showing off. 😂
But when someone consistently makes an extra effort to impress YOU, pays attention to what you think, and looks for opportunities to spend time together, attraction might be part of the reason.
And if you like them back, a little encouragement can go a long way.

Well, when you put it THAT way… 😂
Luxury matchmaking sounds a little suspicious until you realize we're just helping successful singles find love.
Although I do know more about some people's dating lives than their closest friends do. 😉
What's your job? Describe it in the most suspicious way possible. 👇

Their profile was promising. Then you found out they live 12 minutes outside your preferred radius.
Case closed. Next. 🫠
Dating fatigue can get to the point where you open an app already annoyed with everyone on it.
You skim for a reason to say no. The list gets longer. Fewer people make it to an actual conversation.
I call it “dating for dismissal.”
Of course you should rule out people who want a different future or treat you badly. But a slightly awkward first message doesn’t tell you what someone would be like as a partner.
Before adding another requirement, ask yourself: Would this actually make us unhappy together, or is it just different from what I pictured?
You can keep your standards and give yourself a chance to be surprised.
What’s something you thought was a dealbreaker until you met someone you liked?

In their head, that sounded flirty. Out loud? They asked if you found parking. 🫠
Here are 6 signs they may be ATTRACTED to you but don’t know how to FLIRT:
➡️ They give you a compliment, then explain it to death.
“That’s a really good color on you. I mean, you look good in other colors too.” You say thank you. Somehow, they’re still talking about the color.
➡️ They bring up going somewhere together without actually asking you out.
“You like Italian food? There’s a place we should… well, you’d probably like it.” The restaurant has been introduced. The invitation is still struggling.
➡️ They’re more playful over text than they are in person.
In your messages, they tease you and suggest getting together. Face-to-face, you compliment them and suddenly they have nothing to say. Later: “It was really good seeing you.”
➡️ They find an excuse to message you, then barely discuss the excuse.
They ask for the name of a show you mentioned. You send it. Instead of ending the conversation, they ask about your weekend, tell you about theirs, and keep finding things to talk about.
➡️ They turn a flirty moment into a practical conversation.
You say, “Maybe you’ll have to teach me tennis.” They immediately explain which racket you should buy. Ten minutes later: “But yes. I’d like that.”
➡️ They come back to clarify something that sounded uninterested.
“I realized I sounded really bored earlier. I’d actually love to go.” They may stumble over the delivery, but they make sure you know they want to see you.
You don’t need to translate every weird comment into a secret confession.
But if you like them, give them something clear to work with:
“Are you asking me out? Because I’d say yes.”
Have you ever tried to flirt and accidentally conducted a job interview? 😂

Your relationship should be the one place you don’t have to compete.
You get good news, and they’re excited for you.
You have a big night, and they’re happy to stand beside you.
Your success gives you something to celebrate together.
For a successful woman, a man with his own interests, ambitions, and confidence can be incredibly attractive. He appreciates what she’s accomplished and brings a full life of his own.
Would you rather date someone in your industry—or someone whose work is completely different?

She started modeling at 60. At 64, she’s looking for someone to share the adventure.
We’re looking for a match for a Boston-based client—a fitness and yoga instructor, print model, and avid skier with a warm personality and a quick wit.
Her winters are spent on the slopes. The warmer months bring sailing, tennis, and pickleball, with travel and good food welcome in any season.
She’d love to meet an active, confident man who enjoys that lifestyle and wants a committed relationship. Someone trustworthy, financially successful but humble, and just as happy sharing a laugh over hot dogs as getting dressed up for dinner.
She has plenty she enjoys doing. What she wants is someone she enjoys doing it with.
We’re seeking single men up to age 68. Boston preferred; New York also welcome. A love of skiing is a must.
For a private introduction, send us a message mentioning “BOSTON,” along with your age, location, and a little about yourself.
Know someone who could be a fit? Share this post with him.
Images are general representations, not photos of our client or an existing couple. Our client’s name and photographs remain private.

You sent “I had a good time,” not a marriage proposal.
You’re allowed to like someone and let them know. Suggest dinner. Text first. Be visibly happy to see them.
Dating gets exhausting when everyone is interested but nobody wants to be caught caring.
But you need to be paying attention to what happens next.
Do they help make the plan? Initiate too? Make it clear they’re glad you reached out?
You don’t need a spreadsheet proving the effort is exactly equal. And you shouldn’t need a group chat pep talk every time you want to say hello.
What’s one small thing that immediately makes someone more attractive to you?

“What if they don’t like me?”
Plot twist: they could be asking the same question about you. 👀
Here are 6 signs they may LIKE you but think you DON’T like them:
➡️ They suggest plans, then give you an easy way to say no.
“I’d love to take you there… if you’d want to.” They make the invitation, but quickly add “no pressure” or “totally fine if not.”
➡️ They flirt, then backtrack when you don’t flirt back.
They give you a personal compliment. You laugh it off or change the subject. They follow with a joke and return to safer conversation.
➡️ They explain why they haven’t made a move.
“I couldn’t tell if you were interested.” “I didn’t want to make it awkward.” They bring up the possibility of asking you out while explaining what stopped them.
➡️ They check whether your plans include someone you’re dating.
You mention dinner, and they ask, “A date?” When you say it’s with friends, they start asking when you’re free.
➡️ They’re surprised when you initiate.
You suggest getting together, and they say, “Wait, really?” or admit they thought you were just being polite. Then they help make the plan happen.
➡️ They become more direct when you show clear interest.
You return a compliment, say you’d like to see them, or suggest a date. They respond by asking you out or making their interest clearer.
None of these alone proves attraction—or tells you exactly what someone thinks.
The useful pattern is that they make an effort, check whether it’s welcome, and respond when you meet them halfway.
If you like them, try something clearer than hoping your eye contact did the job:
“I’ve really enjoyed talking to you. Want to get coffee this weekend?”
Then see whether they follow through. You don’t need to keep chasing someone who leaves you guessing.
Have you ever tried to play it cool and accidentally played it uninterested? 😂

You’re looking for a date. Why does your bio sound like you’re applying for a promotion? 😂
As a matchmaker, I’d rather read one oddly specific thing about you than another list of “travel, food, and good conversation.”
Love food? Tell me what you’d drive an hour to eat.
Love travel? Tell me which place you’d go back to tomorrow.
Give someone something they can actually reply to. “I love having fun” is making them do all the work.
What’s one detail that would make your dating profile unmistakably yours?
#DatingProfileTips #DatingApps #OnlineDating #DatingAdvice #Matchmaker
You notice it. Then you talk yourself out of it.
“They’re like that with everyone.”
“They probably just remembered.”
“They were only joking.”
I’m a matchmaker, and I’d look at whether their attention keeps coming back to you.
Here are 6 signs you might be explaining away 👇
1️⃣ They come back to you when the group conversation breaks up.
You’ve already talked. They could speak to anyone else. Instead, they find you again and pick up where you left off.
2️⃣ They turn a passing comment into a reason to see you.
You mention a café you want to try. They say, “We should go,” then actually ask when you’re free.
3️⃣ Their compliments reveal what they’ve noticed.
“You have the best laugh.”
“I like how you always say what you mean.”
They’re naming something specific about you.
4️⃣ They keep your little jokes going.
Something funny happened once. Now it’s a reference they bring back in person or send you a message about.
5️⃣ They ask a follow-up about your dating life.
You say you’re single, and they want to know more. What are you looking for? Are you seeing anyone? Would you date someone you already know?
6️⃣ They keep extending the goodbye.
One more question. Another story. Walking with you a little farther. The conversation has had several chances to end, and they keep giving it somewhere to go.
Any one of these can be friendly. What makes it worth noticing is a repeated pattern—and whether they follow through when you show interest back.
You don’t have to be certain before saying, “I’d like that. When are you free?”
Which one would you be most likely to brush off? 👀

The romantic part is that you didn’t have to remind them.
You mentioned a stressful meeting on Tuesday. On Thursday, they ask how it went.
They remembered after the conversation moved on.
As a matchmaker, I think that’s an underrated part of attraction: realizing someone is curious about your life even when you’re not right in front of them.
A thoughtful gesture feels different when you can trace it back to something you actually said.
You start to feel known. And that can make you want to get closer.

Two people can like each other and both walk away thinking it wasn’t mutual.
One waits for a text.
The other waits for a reason to send one.
One plays it cool to avoid looking too interested.
The other reads that as a lack of interest.
Attraction doesn’t automatically give someone the confidence to risk rejection. They may be looking for a little encouragement before they make a move.
But if you’re both waiting for a green light, neither of you gets one.
You don’t have to make a huge confession. Give them something they can actually respond to:
➡️ Start the conversation instead of always waiting for them.
➡️ Give them a sincere compliment instead of hoping they notice you looking.
➡️ Say “I’d like to see you again” if that’s how you feel.
Then leave room for them to meet you halfway.
Do they start initiating too? Suggest a plan? Follow through?
That tells you more than another week of trying to decode their eye contact.
You can make your interest clear without carrying the whole connection.
Have you ever found out someone liked you AFTER you’d both assumed the other wasn’t interested?
