Seeing the community's own chosen projects come to life, and witnessing the impact that this has had on the community as a whole, has reinforced our belief that shifting power to communities is the way forward.

Many people have been involved in this unique programme's journey. We're immensely proud of everyone's achievements, and privileged to have worked with a large and diverse group of determined, passionate and creative people over the past five years.

Centring care, trust and wellbeing , The Giving Lab was always more than a funding model: By offering bespoke support, adapting to community needs, and taking a relational approach, this innovative funding model shows us what's possible if we put communities in the lead.

From its inception in 2018, the co-designed programme underwent big changes, but we continued to be shaped by the community to ensure the model fitted their needs. TGL championed democratic decision-making and equipped communities with the tools they need to solve local issues.

It's a wrap! After 5 years of The Giving Lab, the pilot of this innovative community-led funding programme has come to an end with a wonderful Gala celebration last Friday 💫
