Really happy to have passed my PhD viva last Friday! 🎉 I would like to warmly thanks @Val_Fisch, @DrTLStubbs, Torsten Scheyer, Denis Baurain, members of my jury and all great researchers that have helped during these 4 years. It was a fantastic journey in the Mesozoic seas!

This is an animal that is not very good at swimming and is more active in shallow waters near the sea~

A super cool crowdfunding project led by colleagues from @UniversiteLiege aiming to fund a life-sized reproduction of a mosasaur to be installed in the Meuse river! Super neat artistic and scientific diffusion project, help us to fund it here: promethea.koalect.com/projec…

🚨 New plesiosaur paper 🚨
After 12 years of work, our paper about Seeleyosaurus was published today. It was the first complete plesiosaur found in Germany. The holotype at the NHM Berlin is almost complete, articulated and even has fossilised skin. 1/6

New paper about the functioning of saber teeth led by the amazing @TIPollock 🥳 combining 3DGM with biomechanical testing we identified functional optimality as a key driver underpinning the repeated evolution of extreme saber-tooth morphologies 🔪🦁 cell.com/current-biology/ful…
Really proud to have finally submitted my Ph.D. manuscript 🥳 I would like to thanks everyone who helped during this adventure, especially @Val_Fisch, @DrTLStubbs and Torsten Scheyer for their brilliant supervision!
Was very exciting to scan these iconic fossils in the @NHM_London with @MarcEHJones !
Thanks again to all the team @ASWolniewicz @Val_Fisch @DrTLStubbs, Torsten Scheyer and Jun Liu. Our paper published in @journal_evo is accessible if you're curious 😉

🦴Check out our new paper describing the internal anatomy of the long-necked tanysaurians, showing that bizarre inner vertebral anatomy is not restricted to dinosaurs and pterosaurs.
This is part of the PhD work of Adam Rytel. Watch out for much more!
