The Candy Election is tomorrow!!!🗳️:)
Is the best candy chocolate, sour candy or lollipops? My vote is🍫
I wonder if my students’ speeches & campaign posters will convince their classmates to change their vote?🤔

The post I'm quoting is an example my sense of humor.
I should not, in any way, be offering advice on how to increase likes on posts considering my posts receive 0-5 likes.
I was not trying to demean anyone or their efforts.
I sincerely apologize to anyone I offended.
Since my Twitter anniversary was yesterday, I thought I'd share some social media advice just in case anyone needed tips.
Btw, I get at least 4 or less likes on each post🥹
Now, if you want 5 or more likes follow this advice, but post way more interesting than me.😂:)

Women Soul of the Nation
Georgia voters elected eight Black women to help lead our state. Their work will touch our lives every day, from how we educate our children and protect voting rights to what families pay to keep the lights on.
I’m celebrating these women and the people who organized, registered voters and showed up to make these victories possible.
Congratulations to Georgia’s newly elected leaders:
Keisha Lance Bottoms, governor
Tanya Miller, attorney general
Penny Brown Reynolds, secretary of state
Katherine E. Juhan-Arnold, commissioner of agriculture
Nikki Porcher, commissioner of labor
Lydia Powell, state school superintendent
Keisha Sean Waites, insurance commissioner
Shelia Edwards, Public Service Commission, District 5
I pray that you use the power entrusted to you to protect people’s rights, make their lives better and serve every Georgian with dignity and care.

Voted!🙌🏾
I also got stickers to encourage my students bc they are future voters.
This week my students are going to vote for the best candy.
I love this activity bc it's fun, creative, focuses on opinion writing, & is a great way to talk about the importance of voting!🗳️:)
There's something special about reading liner notes & the intentionality behind album art, whether it's the front & back covers, or the art intermingled throughout.
Singing the lyrics & holding the liner notes, reading the thank yous… I hope physical media never fades away.✨:)

Black women now hold three statewide constitutional offices in Georgia: governor, secretary of state and attorney general. Keisha, Penny and Tanya. 💙
There are so many Pride & Prejudice adaptations, but this one is one of my favorites.
I absolutely love Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle in these roles.
I also own it on DVD.📀:)

Currently excelling in my career.
And by excelling in my career I mean I'm really close to completing my report cards before they are due this week because I started working on them tonight.😊

POV: Love at first sight & it lasts forever
I wrote this when I was 18 in my college dorm room on the floor sitting by my bed.
It's one of two songs in the origin story of my Friday night writes. Yes, I still write on Fridays.
This one's called From the Moment I Saw You. :)
Kind of fitting to share it on the 30th of October since I recorded it October 30, 2023. :)
