@Luna3150 @physiologyuoft used optophysiology to show that #CCK interneurons inhibit ventral hippocampus neurons tagged with #retrobead labelling from the nucleus accumbens. Great working with @jckimlab again!

Need to recover lost #nicotinic currents? It is possible even in the older brain with #xanomeline & #NS9283. Paper now @npp_journal Kudos to stellar graduate students @saigepower @sridevi292 @physiologyuoft Here's the link: rdcu.be/c3ij5

Congratulations @Sridevi292 on the rock-star Ph.D. defence yesterday! Your research identified the fast and protective actions of #Chrna5 at prefrontal #nicotinic synapses and discovered Chrna5+ #acetylcholine super-responders with #subplate identity.

What happens when Grin1 deficiency leaves neurons with too few NMDA receptors (NMDARs)? Turns out there is a selective loss of extrasynaptic NMDARs compromising dendritic plateaus. Adult genetic intervention can bring them back! NMDARs #beingextra biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
