REPORTING LIVE AS TENSIONS CURRENTLY ON GARVAGHY ROAD - POLICE ASSEMBLING
Thousands of Irish Catholics lined out along the Garvaghy Road, Portadown overnight to halt a planned anti-Catholic Orange Order march through the area for the first time in almost 30 years
The courts ruled an injunction against the parade yesterday, but after midnight lifted the injunction. The parade is due to go ahead in a couple of hours
Catholics say the march, deliberately routed through their neighbourhood, is a breach of the peace process. In the 90s the standoff led to Protestants murdering several Catholics including burning three children to death in their home

I don’t really care for them musically but this goes back to the point that I made a while back that a lot of people in this sphere are completely disconnected from normal opinion and are just mad that Irish people don’t have the same cultural fixations that they do.

Today, we remember Fr. Patrick Ryan, a Catholic priest turned Republican volunteer
Fr. Ryan pioneered the use of Swiss memo timers as detonators, notably with the 2 huge IEDs used to liquidate 18 Brit soldiers at the Warrenpoint ambush, August 27 1979
