Reminder: You don’t have to be the most productive author on the internet to be a real author. You wrote something? You’re doing it. That counts.

Every book starts out as a caterpillar before growing into a butterfly. If you ONLY saw the butterfly, you'd have no idea it started as a caterpillar. So stop comparing your WIP to the butterfly! The caterpillar is beautiful in its own right, and a critical first stage of the process. Eventually, your book will undergo its own metamorphosis too. 🦋

Not every story will sell. But every story you finish teaches you how to write the one that will. No work is wasted. #writingcommunity #amwriting #amquerying

1. Rigid grammar rules Never start with “but.” Avoid fragments. Don’t end on a preposition. Sound familiar? I was taught to avoid fragments like the plague, but now I love a well-placed fragment in a story. Ex: She waited. For a sign. For anything. Here, the voice sings!

HHS released over a billion dollars in grants across to all 50 states to “provide critical services to older adults, people with disabilities, and their family caregivers.” “These grants support a wide array of low-cost services that reach one in six older adults annually, and address significant needs such as nutrition, assistance with daily living activities, chronic disease management, and the prevention of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.” But they’ll just tell you this administration is cutting all critical services.

Laughable and irritating. So many things wrong with this that I don't know where to begin.
>> @ChrisCuomo at the top of @CuomoPrimeTime tonight: "Obviously I am aware of what is going on with my brother. And obviously I cannot cover it because he is my brother. Now, of course CNN has to cover it. They have covered it extensively and they will continue to do so."
