Is there a war against Christianity in America?
Look at what’s happening around the world. In Nigeria, Christians are being targeted and killed by Islamic extremist groups. In Ethiopia, dozens of Orthodox Christians were reportedly killed in recent attacks as well.
And we shouldn’t assume America is immune to religious extremism. Islamist terrorist organizations like ISIS and Al-Qaeda continue to inspire violence, including threats and plots here in the United States.
Are we paying enough attention? Are we taking the threats to religious freedom and the safety of Christians seriously?
Could the persecution we’re witnessing overseas become a greater reality here?
Is there a war against Christianity that we’re reluctant to acknowledge?

Last year in Virginia, I had to go out and cast a futile vote against an AG candidate who said he wanted his political opponents’ kids to die. This year I have to go vote against enshrining abortion on demand in the state constitution. Hard not to get discouraged these days.
