A hearty welcome home to Nats broadcasting legend - and all-around nice guy - Bob Carpenter. Bob retired after last season and the Nats named the broadcast booth in his honor. Jillie and I were thrilled to see him looking healthy and happy! Bob, we miss your voice and insight!

The little baby in this picture turns 34 years old tomorrow. I’m grateful that she’s healthy and thriving. But I’m saddened that so-called successful business people are killing Post Sports, which has brought so much joy to people and made so many memories.

This is one of the most beautiful moments you will ever witness.
Sir Nicholas Winton helped 669 children — most of them Jewish — escape the Holocaust.
His humanitarian accomplishments would remain unknown and unnoticed by the world for nearly 50 years.
Then in 1988 he was invited to the BBC TV show That's Life!. There he sat — unknowingly — as part of the studio audience, surrounded by the children he had rescued. They were now adults.
Then they surprised him with one of the greatest gifts of all time. Their presence.
They were there, all alive — because of him. Not only was he reunited with dozens of children he had saved, but he was also introduced to many of their children and grandchildren.
Please remember Sir Nicholas Winton, for his humanitarian operation known as the Czech Kindertransport.
Sir Nicholas George Winton, a British stockbroker, and a gift to this planet, left us on July 1, 2015, at the age of 106.
May his memory forever be a blessing and inspiration to all.
Please share. International Holocaust Day cannot be forgotten. But many are working to make that happen.
🕯️ ♥️
They say you should never meet your heroes. But I met one of mine today and he could not have been nicer! Thanks for all the great calls @scorebook_bob and for many more to come!

In AZ, drove through the desert from Phoenix to Sedona listening to the always-enjoyable @marklewisohn on Beatles Books pod. Fascinating tales of his time with BBC, Beatles Monthly, Apple, et al And the scenery at the end of the drive was spectacular!
Hey @BeatlesPod! Was listening to Season 4 ep Ballad of John and Yoko. You mentioned name-check of Peter Brown, Wilson, Heath. Mark Lewisohn says Mean Mr. Mustard is real guy named Jon Alexander Mustard, whose wife divorced him because he was so cheap!!
Always a treasured moment to connect with @marklewisohn, the world’s preeminent Beatles scholar. Mark is always generous sharing time and knowledge with his fans - like me. I savored his Evolver 62 presentation at the Fest for Beatles Fans in Jersey City, NJ
