Important article on what is wrong with how climate risk is being discussed, including by the IPCC. "The high-end possibilities have by far the greatest overall risks, and they should receive special attention." motherjones.com/environment/…

Fun: In this photo from aKademy 2006, you can find me on the far right, standing next to KHTML OGs @LarsKnoll and @grstaikos. I don't think I actually spoke to either of them at the conference, but 3 years later, I was working with Lars on the Qt WebKit team in Oslo! 🤓💚🇳🇴

“Many countries are trapped exploiting #FossilFuels to generate revenue to repay debt, while at the same time, fossil fuel projects often don't generate revenues expected & leave countries further indebted than when they started. This toxic trap must end” buff.ly/3qD5U0i

Of course Elon doesn't care about the block function. He doesn't need it himself, since when people post things on here he doesn't like he just bans their account, as he has personally done several times now. To him the block function is just a way for other people to block him

Wow, did SBF really just tweet this thread? Probably should have consulted with a lawyer before…

21) NOT ADVICE, OF ANY KIND, IN ANY WAY I WAS NOT VERY CAREFUL WITH MY WORDS HERE, AND DO NOT MEAN ANY OF THEM IN A TECHNICAL OR LEGAL SENSE; I MAY WELL HAVE NOT DESCRIBED THINGS RIGHT though I'm trying to be transparent. I'M NOT A GOOD DEV AND PROBABLY MISDESCRIBED SOMETHING.

I never expected that Twitter acquisition to go well, but I am still impressed by how fast Elon Musk managed to get everything to fall apart. Reaching what I believe is probably a point of no return within 2 weeks is quite an achievement.

Nothing good will come from people who choose to deny facts which they don't like. Whether it's the fact of human-caused climate change, or election results, or whatever.

Climate change is on a different timeline & scale than other global crises. It's the defining issue of our age, the central challenge of our century. It's outrageous & self-defeating to put it on the back burner. If anything, we need greater urgency & stronger #ClimateAction.

Right. As a heavy tweeter/content creator who is now maintaining BOTH a Twitter and Mastodon presence, here is a short guide to what I have set up, how to do it and lessons I've learned, for others. TLDR: It's been WAY less hassle than I expected thanks to tips from followers /1

Let’s see how things continue here on Twitter, but I have now also created a profile on mastodon. I’ve not been too active lately. Anyway, I’ll post the things I write both places for the time being. You can find me there as @larsknoll@mastodon.social.
