i wouldn’t really call myself part of the monad community anymore
monad was the first and very possibly the last time i genuinely got involved in a crypto community beyond just hanging out in discord and shitposting. i spent nearly three years building, working, making friends, and dedicating a ridiculous amount of my time and energy to something i believed in
then tge happened, and a surprising number of people i considered friends, including some of my closest friends both on and offchain, pretty much disappeared overnight
after spending years building those relationships, i had absolutely no interest in going through the same bullshit again with a whole new group of people
so i stopped showing up. simple as that
what hasn’t changed is the reason i stuck around for all those years in the first place. i believed monad had the potential to become an indispensable part of crypto back then, and i still believe that today
would i have liked to take a lot more profit than i did? absolutely. but the price action hasn’t changed a single thing about why i got involved with monad the way i did
i might have lost interest in the social side of things, but i’ve never lost conviction in what they are building
and i genuinely believe that if something like monad fails, then the rest of crypto is pretty much fucked. because at that point, i don’t know what else this industry is supposed to be waiting for
In this age of AI-empowered attackers, the only way forward for our industry is to continue hardening. Security should be every team's top focus.

Here's how to turn an iPhone into the most secure crypto wallet. 10 steps:
1. Buy the cheapest new iPhone (17e, $699 in the US). Never used.
2. New Apple ID, fresh email, unique password
3. Face ID off. Custom alphanumeric passcode, 12+ characters
4. Lockdown Mode on
5. Erase data after 10 failed passcode attempts: on
6. iCloud backup off, before you install anything
7. Install the wallet from its official site and check the publisher
8. Generate a new address. Write the seed phrase on paper or steel. Never photograph it
9. Send a small test amount first, then move everything
10. Airplane mode, no SIM, no Wi-Fi ever again. Phone in a safe, seed in a different place
Skip step 6 or step 8 and the whole setup falls apart.
Most of what a bank, fund or corporate treasury does has to stay confidential: client flows, payroll, supplier payments, trading positions.
For institutions exploring public blockchains, that can create a trade-off between keeping sensitive activity confidential and accessing the liquidity and connectivity of an open market.
Category Labs is developing Private Settlement on Monad, designed to give institutions confidential execution on a high-performance, EVM-compatible L1 without leaving its liquidity.
→ Transactions stay encrypted and confidential from intent to settlement
→ Each business configure its own domain(s): validators, trust model and access rules
→ Confidentiality stays accountable: auditors and regulators can be granted scoped access
→ Private activity is designed to stay connected to the Monad network's pooled liquidity
If your team has payments, treasury or trading workflows, the Private Settlement design is worth a close look
Today we are announcing Monad Private Settlement, which gives banks and enterprises the best of both worlds: sovereign execution environments with privacy and compliance by default, which benefit from the composability and performance of Monad
Replying to @category_xyz
Monad Private Settlement enables an onchain financial ecosystem where enterprises can run entire business processes onchain and interact with each other on the open Monad network.
