I was very clear with all our partners: I think that first we have to discuss how to end Russia’s war against Ukraine. Secondly, what the security infrastructure will look like for Ukraine. What security guarantees will Ukraine have? And then, depending on these answers, the sides can discuss the security infrastructure between Europe – or between the EU – and Russia.
It’s dangerous when Russia wants to begin these discussions with a new security infrastructure in Europe. By the by, it's even more dangerous for the EU. We are not a member of the EU. We are not a member of NATO either. I am not trying to speak on their behalf. We all live in Europe. We don't want to have “Yalta 2.0.” We don't want to be divided by Russia.

Virginia Louise Giuffre (1983–2025) became one of the most important voices exposing the Jeffrey Epstein trafficking network—at a time when few people were willing to listen, and even fewer were willing to believe.
Recruited under the promise of work, she was exploited, moved across borders, and surrounded by people with money, influence, and protection. What happened to her wasn’t hidden because it was rare—it was hidden because the people involved were powerful.
And still, she spoke.
Her testimony helped crack open sealed records, shift public opinion, and force conversations the world tried to avoid. She stood alone against institutions, royalty, and a justice system that failed victims again and again.
But Virginia didn’t stop at telling her story.
She built something for others.
Through her organization—Victims Refuse Silence, later Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR)—she helped survivors turn fear into voice and shame into strength. The blue butterfly she chose became a symbol of survival, not victimhood.
Virginia Giuffre died in April 2025.
Her memoir, Nobody’s Girl, was released later that year.
Her voice didn’t end with her life.
It became her legacy.
