Loving the mix on @WKCRFM “Tennessee Border” today - departing senior nailing “farewell show” vibes, I remember doing this myself maaaany moons ago. Sorry I haven’t caught your name (!) but @thechicks Landslide did indeed bring me down in a good way - good luck to you!

Today's <60k is our first duet @LauraRCantrell @SteveEarleWhen "When The Roses Bloom Again" 36994 plays on spotify. The original single is lovely but the contrasting vocal styles of the duet really got my attention. open.spotify.com/track/1wDuU…

Really enjoyed hearing the lovely #KayAdams on @wfmumichael program today. Very interesting first-hand account of the Bakersfield scene wfmu.org/playlists/shows/137…
Appreciating a proper obit for Roni Stoneman, I read her autobiography a few years ago and it was poignant and funny - she and her family persevered with staggering musical talent washingtonpost.com/obituarie…
There’s a long history of answer songs and I loved making Emanuel to answer Emilie, what a great track to sing on with @MaryLeeKortes and Mark Spencer on steel - thank you @Tim_Burgess and Nick for having the idea!
I’m a big fan of ‘reply songs’ and we were honoured that @LauraRCantrell recorded Emanuel, a reply to Emilie
This made me smile and cry … thank you @DekeDickerson!

Mojo was a member of our family - if you only knew him from the Outlaw Country, this is a good chronology of his whole career, though I’m gutted to be reading and posting this at all - nytimes.com/2024/02/08/arts/…

There have, in fact, been a few reviews of the recent Human Hearts LP/dl, which is of course still available via bandcamp, but I got sidetracked about RT'ing them or otherwise flogging the record over the holidays. Here's a flattering notice from @ShanleyOnMusic.
#HumanHearts - the band that features @humanfranklin - released an album of EP and 7" tracks a few months ago w/an 80s-style noo wave cover. I decided to write about it today. Here it is. Read it, please. tinyurl.com/2uw5dz2d
