If your partner is neurodivergent and she spends her whole day off on the couch, then cries at 9pm about wasting it, learn the words ADHD paralysis.
She had 12 things she wanted to do. Her brain couldn't pick the first one, so it picked none. You think she's lazy.
Don't ask "What do you want to get done today?" At 10am, hold out her shoes. "We're walking to get coffee." Once she's moving, she'll pick the next thing herself. All she ever needed was someone to take the first step with her.

A true story: I went through an ADHD assessment, and afterward, the psychiatrist told me, “There’s a lot of evidence that you have ADHD. The most significant piece of evidence is that you went through this exact process, received a diagnosis 15 years ago, and completely forgot about it.”
Imagine getting assessed for something only to discover that forgetting you already got diagnosed is part of the evidence. You genuinely cannot make this stuff up.
