America, she loved you! She loved you so much she enlisted in the National Guard! She was so proud to take her oath just a few weeks ago to serve our State and Country. She might not have held a title for our military, but she was a true General for the Lord. I am so proud.

A portion of MS-Highway 82 in Oktibbeha County now is a permanent memorial to Lake Little, a Starkville Academy graduate and Miss Hospitality who died tragically in 2019 at age 18 after attaining many other impressive achievements and making a significant positive community impact.
The dedication ceremony hosted by Mark and Rhonda Keenum and David and Pattie Little was held today for the Elizabeth āLakeā Little Memorial Highway, which is located close to the Lowndes County line. MDOT signage was unveiled and is now in place on both the eastbound and westbound lanes.
Pictured from left are Northern District Transportation Commissioner John Caldwell; State Sen. Chuck Younger; family members Patton, David, Pattie and Layton Little; State Representative Rob Roberson of Starkville; and Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann.

This is leadership. I hope our legislators follow suit. I hope we all get to witness this history in the making.
Instead of having a state wide vote on changing the flag which will cost tax payers thousands of dollars. I vote our legislators change the flag and the money saved is spent on our public school teachers. Itās a win-win for the future of Mississippi.
If you want to see the flag changed, email your legislators. It takes 5 seconds for a profound impact on Mississippiās future.
