We do not have open borders, we have people dying at rapidly increasing rates at our borders. Indefensible dog whistling & misinformation from government on this.
Victoria Derbyshire: Keir Starmer accused the Tories of experimenting with open borders... we don't have open borders... why did he say that? Pat McFadden: "The results seem a lot more open than the era of free movement when you look at the levels of net migration." #bbclaurak

For anyone paying attention, this is the least surprising news of the day…
Keir Starmer's spokesman opens the door to Benjamin Netanyahu being given immunity from arrest for war crimes should he travel to the UK, saying immunity would be "considered" by a "domestic legal process" should he come here.

The collapse of Legal Aid in Immigration & Asylum is staggering. Research from Jo Wilding shows the depth of it: over 54,000 people unable to access a Legal Aid lawyer, a 57% deficit, up from 17% in 2021. Asylum decision making can’t be relied upon.

This is a significant ruling. Home Sec ruled to have breached her duties leaving people destitute without recourse. We need to abolish NRPF entirely. Leaving people utterly destitute, driving them to exploitation & costing an absolute fortune through its cruel impact.
🚨 Judgment: SSHD in breach of her positive duty in art. 3 ECHR to reduce the risk of inhuman and degrading treatment to a reasonable minimum, based on her failure to implement an adequate system for permitting destitute migrants access to public funds. caselaw.nationalarchives.gov…

When Palestine Action and local community camped outside the factory producing Elbit's Watchkeeper drone project in 2023, this was the police response. It has now been announced the £2 billion contract is cancelled. Supression is closest to victory.

Israeli authorities have impounded a fire engine donated by Scottish firefighters to aid Palestinian firefighters. Yesterday, we went to the Israeli Assembly to deliver a letter demanding the fire engine is released. Firefighters must be able to protect and save lives.

There’s been a pogrom in Illinois US, planes need to be sent in… Meanwhile in the real world, checkout the sheer entitlement of this woman attacking a Palestinian family just for wearing hoodies with Palestinian symbols…

Last November, two detectives from @bedspolice visited my home over an anti-Israel tweet. They told me to be “mindful” of what I post while confirming that “no crime was committed” — my tweet wasn’t related to anything to do with the UK. You can watch the engagement here: youtu.be/MfLWWjcTKOk Now imagine if I, or any Muslim told 566k followers to buy axes if UK police (who I describe as “your enemy”) knock on the door like @LozzaFox did? “Patriots” were jailed for tweeting far less than this. How is this not direct incitement against police? @metpoliceuk @TerrorismPolice

This highlights why a fully independent misconduct system is needed! Senior officers can apply the policy in different ways to different people, protecting those they want to while targetting others robustly dailymail.co.uk/news/article…

As one of your constituents who was assaulted by one of these far right racists on Sunday in Tamworth it would be great if you could represent me. The asylum seekers and those supporting were the real targets. Feel free to reach out if you care about constituents and their safety
