Angel Reese has the highest winning percentage in 20-point games among WNBA players with at least 10 such performances this season. The Atlanta Dream have won 10 consecutive games when Reese scores 20 or more points, including a perfect (4-0) record in the postseason, with two victories each against New York and Golden State. Atlanta will be hoping that trend continues tonight as the Dream prepare for a winner-take-all Game 7 with a WNBA championship on the line. ✨

Imagine spending 10 seasons with one franchise, helping build its identity, becoming one of the most recognizable players in its history, and then having an opportunity to deny that same franchise its first-ever WNBA championship. That’s exactly what Tiffany Hayes is trying to do. From teaming up with Angel McCoughtry to help lead the Atlanta Dream to the 2013 WNBA Finals to becoming a veteran presence for current Dream players Rhyne Howard and Naz Hillmon, Hayes was part of different eras of the franchise's history. Now, years after leaving Atlanta, she finds herself one win away from helping the Golden State Valkyries capture their first WNBA championship at the expense of the organization she spent a decade representing. And Hayes isn't just along for the ride. The 37-year-old veteran has been one of Golden State's most reliable offensive contributors this postseason, averaging (12.4) points, (3.3) rebounds, and (2.2) assists per game. After opening the Finals with just three points on 1-of-12 shooting, Hayes has bounced back with five consecutive double-digit scoring performances, averaging (13.6) points on 49.1% shooting during that stretch. Her insertion into the starting lineup in Game 4 also coincided with a shift in the series. Hayes scored 13 points in Golden State's Game 4 victory before adding 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals in Game 5, helping the Valkyries take a 3-2 series lead. Even in Golden State's Game 6 loss, Hayes posted 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Now, it all comes down to one game. The franchise Hayes once fought to bring a championship to is now the very team standing between her and the first WNBA title of her career.
