Great away win at Rotherham for our #NUFC u21's, the lads progress to the knockout stages for the first time since 2019.
Kyran Thompson had just 24 touches and got off 5 shots, one of them going in running through on goal, big shoutout to Logan Watts and Miodrag Pivas who were also impressive at the back.
When you have players who aren't alert at marking, picking up needless two yellow cards, a senior player throwing a tactical tweak (paper) on the floor for the world to see, players not following the manager's tactics (admits it) and huge boos by match going supporters.
Worrying.
Keeping it in the family today are those on the #NUFC U18 bench.
Steve Harper's son, Trevor Benjamin's son and Michael Ndiweni's brother.
Last night, not saw an away like that for a long while, on three separate occasions our own supporters arguing amongst themselves, instead of being united.
Like a shootout drives you mad,
In the stillness of a Guimaraes pen you had,
And Arsenal lost,
Look what you could have had,
And Arsenal lost.
Our #NUFC 21s have the bragging rights defeating their Mackem counterpart infront of 5,100 supporters. ⚫️❤️
On foot walking to Slehurst & I'm much happier with that backline. Players out of form and the old guard are in. Howay the lads. ⚫️⚪️ #NUFC
Roman Dowell, Jayden Kouossu and Alfie Seldon not involved in the #NUFC u18's today, so they'll be in the u21 squad on Monday night to face Sunderland.
Refreshing to witness so many decent performances last night.
So many decent performances last night by #NUFC's youngsters!

The issue last night outside of Coventry City FC was so poor.
Hundreds of fans still trying to get in at 7.55pm (home club's fault) and some didn't have a QR code or scanner on their digital tickets, one was mine.
Queues at the box office which took over 20 minutes to get me sorted, some longer.
Poor experience, and that was even the football played. We won't discuss that. 🤬
Kyran Thompson with a brace in the first half, Johny Emerson getting a lot of joy on the right flank. Great first half for #NUFC U21's.
#NUFC U21's lose 2-1 away to Solihull, Alfie Seldon with our goal, but Afner Ca impressive with him creating chances on his own.
Me 30th game of this season & a place where the Lasses have struggled, not anymore. That can be ticked off.
5 wins from 5 & it's looking like a Tyne and Wear battle at the top.
#NUFC U21's beaten by League One leaders Bradford.
Matheus Ferreira showing again he's not afraid to let one fly, and another subsitute appearance by 16 year old Jayden Kouossu.
#NUFC U21's lineup as:

Watts
Pivas
