Tonight I attended a great insightful presentation session from @premierleague & @prorefofficial at Elland Road, discussing officiating and VAR.
During the session we had various discussions and raised points/concerns seen from the eyes of fans, not just games involving Leeds. We were shown the good and the bad of VAR, so it was very evenly presented. Any points or concerns we raised were answered in the room, some ideas have been taken away for consideration.
All in all a great meeting.

The entire first half has been about Leeds players getting booked. Every time you look, another Leeds player is in trouble with the referee.
But the Tanaka booking for the challenge on Lewis-Skelly was ridiculous. Skelly tried to dribble past him, lost the ball, and Tanaka read it perfectly to win possession. What exactly has he done wrong there?
I genuinely donโt understand the decision. Even Tanakaโs reaction tells you everything. The lad couldnโt believe heโd been booked.
Look, if itโs a foul, itโs a foul. Book him if heโs committed a bookable offence. But you have to apply the same standards to both teams. You cannot keep punishing one side and expect people not to question your decisions.
The consistency is the problem here, and the referee needs to explain that decision.โ
